Uask4it
Camp here. Hi EvolutionsZ, 1) Is the "segregated a section" next to the filter compartment? 2) Great to slope the return water from filter compartment. 3) You mind to PM the cost of your tank setup and source to get it, thinking of get one. Thanks.

Hi bro, if u meant the eggcrate then its to seperate any fishes i might keep there in future from the return pump, this set up brand new by N30 cost almost 2K, but i bought it 2nd hand so its definitely cheaper. SRC Member Evolutionz Posted December 10, 2017 Author SRC Member Share Posted December 10, 2017 Some updates! So i bought a regal angel and a baby (1.5")emperor angel a week ago and they have been doing great! The regal is eating very well on pellets but the baby emperor is only picking on the rocks for now. Kinda sucks that my relatively new LED's blue led suddenly spoil couple days ago so only the white leds are lighting up the tank. Also added some new LRs 20171206_205318 This weeks' new addition, a Sub-adult changing blue-face angel, it got chased by the regal and has been hiding for the past 2 days, but doing relatively well. 20171210_003838 Today chance upon a really nice looking flagfin angel! too beautiful to not purchase it.. 20171210_122707 It started eating pellets hours later so thats good news! 20171210_135217 I also decided to make my own DIY fish food blend my supplements 20171210_184629 The ingredients 20171210_201807 Selcon Brightwell Angelixir Brightwell HUFA amino acids Seachem garlic guard Seachem Vitality 10 cubes of mysis 5 cubes of brine shrimp 5 cubes of Rotifers TDO & NLS pellets Red and green ocean free nori sheets 15 clams 5 prawns so after blending, repack and refreeze.. made a little too much! probably will last me a long time 20171210_204009 Here's a video of the regal and flagfin eating clams and proceed to do some dance off I plan to do cupramine on tuesday.. and prazipro thereafter. SRC Member Evolutionz Posted December 21, 2017 Author SRC Member Share Posted December 21, 2017 Some updates: Current livestock Regal angel pair of clownfish Velentino puffer flagfin angel baby emperor angel coral beauty blue face angel majestic angel Bought tobikko as a nutritional snack for them and they love it! 20171219_215525 I soaked it to get rid of any additives or preservatives that could be inside and was pretty shocked to get a very orange dye leaking out... washed and soak couple times till it was clear. 20171219_220209 Next, soak with brightwell angelixir and vitality to further improve nutritional level and then store it in a ziplock bag in the freezer. 20171219_221452 Also upgraded my skimmer pump to a jebao DCS-2000, really small and powerful! im also 'upgrading' my main return from a ehiem 1262 to a Jebao DCS-12000, upgrade in flow but downgrade in brand i guess.. 20171220_194248 A bacteria blend i have been using since my reefing days.. cheap, good but extremely smelly! no idea why it smells so bad but it works! 20171217_135433 Video update, just did a rescape to utilize the 2ft height, i was wondering why the fishes are always sticking to the bottom area around the rocks, then i found out that they never swam past the tallest rocks! so i did a quick rescape and true enough, they started to explore the top section of the tank as well.. Here's them eating pellets mix of TDO, NLS and hikari algae wafer, pardon the cloudy water due to the rescape and pardon the ugly lighting.. my new light with proper blue/white led is arriving soon! SRC Member Angel Keeper Posted January 8, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted January 8, 2018 Hi evoZ what’s cupramine & prazipro? Both are medications... Cupramine is essentially copper for treating ich and marine velvet... Prazipro is for treating flukes generally...Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Solo77
You may want to verify whether cupramine can treat velvet. They can be found in few lfses, ah beng, seaview, petmart, c328 clementi, Madpetz, etc. Do read up and decide whether u need to use these medication. For tank maker, most lfses can custom make for you.... Iwarna, aquamarin, de aquatic, n30, Pinnacle, etc. Sound easy but once u go into details, many things to consider when comparing to price. Have fun. SRC Member diki88 Posted January 9, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted January 9, 2018 nice fowlr! saw you have some chaeto in the sump. remembered reading somewhere macroalgae will absorb copper, and if the chaeto starts dying off, the absorbed copper will then be released back into the water column. but thats what i read long ago, not sure true or not. but for your water volume. maybe no issues even if it's true. anws, how about a female regal for that stud male lol? No complains though, its more energy saving and MUCH quieter as compared to a eheim. however it definitely will not last as long.
