My new small 16 litre Nano tank

Recommended Posts

Chaeto dont need mud, just have some flow around or through it. Rotate chateo once in a while so its get a light all round and its should be fast growing. Monitor if chaeto turn soft and whiten.

copepods may populate... but for nano or pico tanks... i dont think it will populate fast enough as pods will ended up in your pet’s tummy.

Usually for acclimatizing you would add abit of water, wait 10 mins, add abit more water, wait another 10 minutes, so on and so forth until the original volume of water at least doubles. For shrimps

How to get temp low? Must use chiller? Sent from my CPH1611 using Tapatalk

Unless u literally fill the whole tank with copepod jokes aside you should try to get the pet to feed on mysis.

I have experience No3 up to 40ppm before...

Luckly, there was no death from fish and soft corals.

When Chaeto was introduced, My guess it may take a while for it to bring it down...  more chaeto growth = lesser nitrate and less phosphate

U dun need to add the copepods as the chaeto i gave already have enough critters to populate over time just ensure your water parameters are correct and stable, all will be fine

Oh husbandry issue. I guess before u restart u need to think about how u going to manage long term if you are busy.

If u lazy on changing water then work on nutrient export harder.
