SRC Member PaulPaul01 Posted June 27, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted June 27, 2018 Hi I just started a tank some weeks ago with only one fish, and I heard Coral Farm has a huge selection. However I saw a bunch of Facebook reviews saying that the employees tell them that the place is not for viewing, but I've heard others go there frequently to just look around and buy a fish or two. Can anyone tell me if it's fine to go? Cos I live all the way in Yishun and cab ride there is quite costly so Idw go all the way just to waste money haha Thx a lot Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
SRC Supporter SubzeroLT Posted June 27, 2018 SRC Supporter Share Posted June 27, 2018 Its a great place to visit & purchase live stock. Especially for fishes & invertebrates. No idea where the comment about "not for viewing" came from. Quote Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/mysliceofnature/

SRC Member Mahesh Posted June 27, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted June 27, 2018 I had a bad experience too there. IMO, not worth to go to that location.Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
SRC Member christan1959 Posted June 27, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted June 27, 2018 It's a good place for fish. For inverts, only occasional shipment of maxima clams worth waiting for.
SRC Member inwear Posted June 27, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted June 27, 2018 I had similar experince last month ...my first and last time... went with my wife and 2 children. My purpose was to have my wife to pick a show piece (last fish) for my tank. I was approached and told the place is not for public viewing. I left after telling the lady off. A waste trip ! Moderators thomas_lim Posted June 27, 2018 Moderators Share Posted June 27, 2018 Yes. Very nice place IMO. Never had any unhappy experience there. Goes there twice a month at least. Really depend on what you are looking for. Only issue is that you need to cab in if never drive. I know of people who walked all the way in from the bus stop. WOW!!! There is a quarantine room at the far end of the building where you need to be escorted in for viewing. Could this be where the misunderstanding arise? Solo77
Has been buying stuff since I started reefing. Still remember my friend who brought me there told me coral farm is ATAS and you get invoice for any purchase. One of the lfses that has separate quarantine room and consistent pricing. Their pricing don't follow demand and stick to their markup policy. If you visit lfses alot, you will.know that some of the pricing are cheapest in town. Certainly hope is a misunderstanding. SRC Member Zhi Long Oh Posted June 28, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted June 28, 2018 Went once with my nephew and niece and tt aunty actually told us off. "This place is not for viewing". I guess the factor involved is her mood n whether u have any kids with you

SRC Member Mahesh Posted July 1, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted July 1, 2018 I dont want to go there anymore as we have lot of other options available in easy accesible places.Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
SRC Member Komerider Posted July 1, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted July 1, 2018 It's worth dropping by if u like marine stuff. One of the reasons is u can get to see exotic stuff.they export regionally. Saw huge rays and some bigger than average sharks that need to be contained in tubs.Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
