SRC Member chocolate98 Posted April 22, 2020 Author SRC Member Share Posted April 22, 2020 I am using orphek V4 lights and I can say I am happy with this lights even though I've encountered problems with this light. The after sales service via email is very good. I do get a reply within 2 days. The design of the lights are very innovative in my point of view as almost every part of the light can be easy replaced by yourself. Especially when there is no support in sg. So this was what happened. My LEDs were burnt and the lens were damaged. So I wrote an email to them and thankfully they sent me LEDs to replaced by myself. However, I tried replacing the LEDs by soldering, it wasn't easy as I don't have any background in this field. Thus, I wrote another email demanding for a better solution. In the end, they sent the entire new set of LEDs board and lens which could be easily plugged into my light. Therefore, I'm satisfied with this light and the after sale service. Would recommend orphek lights to anyone who would want a long term investment as you can easily swap out the old LED board with a newer LED board or new version of LEDs without purchasing the whole light set. Thumbs up!! Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

SRC Member chocolate98 Posted May 3, 2020 Author SRC Member Share Posted May 3, 2020 So 2 weeks ago I set up this dosing pump before my 2 weeks confinement in camp. I have decided to go for AF component 123 and NoPox. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
SRC Member chocolate98 Posted May 3, 2020 Author SRC Member Share Posted May 3, 2020 Finally today, I booked out and tested my water. Luckily nothing went wrong with the dosing pump as I took a precaution to dose half the recommended dosage to try out first. Here are the results: pH: 8.2 Ca:320 KH: 7.8 Mg:1020 No3: 0 Po4: 0.064 So from this results, I can infer that the calcium, magnesium and kh is on the low side. However, the no3 and po4 is pretty low for a softie/Lps tank. Moreover, the no3 test kit shows 0, it is not 0 as the test kit accuracy doesn't show such a low range. All in all, NoPox is effective in reducing my No3 and Po4. In addition, I need to reduce the dosage for NoPox and increase the dosage for AF component 123.
