Hey guys, I've decided to start a new thread as I am down sizing my previous tank due to NS. I got myself a 2nd hand redsea reefer170 and ordered a custom shallow 2ft tank to be linked to the reasea reefer170. I plan to start a zoas collection and a euphyllia garden.
Heres a picture of my actual tank before i started to decom. 20190302_113632.thumb.jpeg.73830293752aa8623f89bcd9ac21051d.jpeg

I then decided to decom 70% of my sps, Thinking that i still can manage but its too tiring to come home to do maintenace every weekend. Here of a pic of what's left:

So finally I've decide to let go so of my sps and here's how the new tank looks like now. Did my scaping using some of my old rocks. Will update more slowly. Stay tuned

Ps, those interested in getting a 800L full set up can let me know ya!

I made this in hope for it to become a nice art piece of monti caps. I mixed different types of platting montis like red monti, green monti, sun burst monti, purple monti, red monti with white polyps, green monti with white polyps and lastly chilli pepper monti. Missing out galaxy monti thoughScreenshot_20190315-181110_Instagram.jpeg

I recently got a blue star leopard wrasse and unfortunately it jumped out of the tank. Hence I bought the customizable red sea DIY fish saver aquarium cover. In my opinion, it was easy to build but quite tedious as I have to manually saw the aluminium profiles.

So firstly, I used a mini hack saw to saw the aluminium profiles to fit the tank. Followed by adding the connectors.

Secondly I mounted the net using the roller.

Lastly, i trimmed the sides and edges of the excess net.20190413_235343.jpeg
This whole process took me about an hour. It would have been faster if I had a better saw

Started to gain an interest in collecting Zoas. Hmmm...a pretty bad idea because the premium Zoas are alot more expensive than the sps I kept. Made this structure today and planted some Zoas. Hopefully when the Zoas grow, it'll turn out nice I'm gonna make more of these structures soon!!!IMG20191003004216.jpegIMG20191003004235.jpegIMG20191003004219.jpegIMG20191003004211.jpeg
