SRC Member jonanaz Posted September 1, 2020 SRC Member Share Posted September 1, 2020 Hello all! Wanted to seek a 2nd opinion after asking a few reefers. Is this brown jelly disease ? My hammer coral frag melted overnight for one of the heads. The other dead is doing ok and so are other LPS. Any help is much appreciated! SRC Member Otaku Reefer Posted September 1, 2020 SRC Member Share Posted September 1, 2020 not expert here but i read brown jelly will spread if not stopped, if its me, i will quickly take that frag out and dip in iodine (seachem reefdip) to be safe, if u have a QT tank, can also put it there to monitor after the dip. Did your tank have any swings that could cause this? sudden Alk spike or nutrient shock? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app thank you! actually i think it might be the dead tissue since it was gone and only the skeleton was left for the head that died! there hasn't been any alk swing since i tested today! the other LPS are doing fine, which is why I'm a little confused on why this particular head would melt overnight
