Clams with lower light requirements (derasa, squamosa) tends to grow huge.  Clams which are more manageable sized (crocea and maxima)  generally require strong light.  Both groups are equally demanding on water chemistry because they grow fast.

It will take a lot of effort to keep clams long term in a nano/pico tank.

If you get clam you need cold water and dose calcium ! Small clam
Need to be feed too.
