Sad. Until enough Captive Bred specimens hit the market (and affordable), I guess it’s goodbye to our beloved Yellow Tangs, Kole Tangs, Potter’s Angels, Crosshatch and Humu Triggers, Lemon Butterflies, Christmas Wrasses, Potter’s Leopard Wrasses, Flame and Multicolor Angels, Bandit Angels and countless others.

I heard that Indo might ban coral export too. Anyone heard this as well?

I thought they banned it for a while in 2018 then resumed?

Yes they did. Heard they considering to do it again.

That really sucks ass. If that happens where can we still get corals from? Just FOWLR from now on? Yikes.....

Dont think so i guess.. since they have quite an established cultured coral farming in the sea .. The previous ban was mainly due to the overharvesting of wild coral and poor management of the industry .

Aquaculture and Captive Breeding are the best hope for the long-term prosperity of our hobby. I’m all for it. Are most corals coming out of Indo these days aquacultured ones?
