Nitrate 25 ppm phosphate 0.13ppm

Recommended Posts

Hi all

A quick question if I can keep sps with nitrate 25 ppm and phosphate 0.13 ppm?

I am having 2ft tank and recently installed phosphate reactor with rowaphos and seeing good result of phosphate being reduced.

No space for protein skimmer to bring down nitrate but I have been dozing red sea nopox

fuels bacterial growth when carbon dosing.
skimmer removes organics and some free-floating bacteria.
compliments each other. so having a skimmer would be more efficient.
if you dont have a skimmer you need to fine another way to remove the bacteria to reduce your nutrients
