Refractrometer or Digital Salinity Tester

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, just starting my 1st marine aquarium. I am using a 20 galons nano tank.

Can I used a digital salinity tester instead of a refractometer? Need your advice.

I also bought the Swiss Labs 7-1 Aquarium Test Kit for the other tests. Anyone tried it?

Looking forward to hear from you.

John

Hi John. Both are meant for measuring the salinity but you needs to calibrate it to be accurate. Imo the refractometer is more simple to use and to calibrate. Hope it helps.

Welcome to the salty side. Please do more read up on the new tank setup.

Cheers
