Hi all, really would appreciate if anyone can help ID this algae.

My tank is 8 weeks old and did water change last Sunday and it starts to pop up on Wednesday on my rocks and some starting to show on my sand also.

Thanking in advance to all. Cheers

These are probably diatoms,  which are common for new tanks. However, the only way to be sure, is to look at them under the microscope.

If these are indeed diatoms,  the problem should resolve on its own as the silicate in your aquarium becomes depleted naturally.
