do the midbody of the oldest start turning black like their parents?

Hi Bro,

Unfortunately, percs take ages to color up! Read somewhere that they may take up to a year or so before the black color starts to fill in!! :( Even the striping takes ages - my oldest batch is only now starting to get a third stripe...and some don't even have much or a second stripe yet!! <_<

Looks like your oscis are starting to darken up already!

Yes, some of the bodies are darkening up and some black is developing - a bit too early yet to tell if they will inherit dad's black body and fins...(hoping...hoping.. :lol: ). As you can see, it takes ages for color and pattern to develop in percs - these guys are 4-5 months old and many don't even have their second stripe!!
