Hi bro, it's good to see another Aqua Medic fan... I am new to Aqua Medic, so would like your advice on the Nitratreductor 400. My tank is a AM Percula 90 (90g max, without sump). Thanks in advance :D I might also get the computer systems... but more like long term plan.

imo get the NR1000 instead of 400,it may be 'overkill' for your 90g but don't have to upgrade in case next time u expand your ocean :P

NR400 doesn't come with dosing pump & reaction chamber too small to reduce NO3 effectively. I also heard the 400 version always get choke.

In any case if u get the NR400 with a dosing pump, the cost will be very close to a NR1000,so u do your own calculation ;)

Hey bro, any more updates? Your tank is an inspiration to me and I hope to have a setup similar to yours for my upcoming new tank. ;)

Keep the pictures coming! :thanks:

Thanks :) my tank is recovering from a ich outbreak which kill alot of my fishes :( Me stupidly add in a PBT which is infected by ich & that move really cost me alot. Will update as soon as my hypo treatment is over.

hey bro, just want to ask how did you direct the flow pipe in your shorty for the water feed. I tried removing the direction pipe fitting and let the water flow across the uprising foam and finds that it skims better. Your thoughts?

interesting...maybe I will try your way & see the result  I'm planning to remove the feeding pump & let the shorty feed by gravity, heard its alot better

actually i didnt plan to keep angels.. still into tangs. . .

i realise tangs and angels cant accomodate one another.. from my personal experience.. tangs eat too fast...

so far i do have a schuran jetskim 150, need to order my deltec soon.

we have a fowlr community now. . . :)

btw i thought tangs are better kept in odd numbers. . i.e. 3 or 5. . the reason i got was to reduce aggressiveness. .

u might wan to consider getting 3 achillies instead! :)

lol. . i am sure 3 achilles can fight ur YT n PT.

Anyway this is off topic, achilles is a greek name and the meaning stands for "the strongest warrior" :D

since we are both fowlr set ups, i am sure i can use ur experience. 6 footer (tank by Gerald) will be coming next weekend!!! :)
