acidjazz
The flight of stairs that bro giantbicycle is refering to is not the ceramic stairs, but the trail of muds which resembles a pile of stairs. you are right that i am under utilizing my santa cruz. its pretty silly to have a full suspension bike, only to ride at the beaches. Oh I see I think I know which one. The downhill flight with some logs as well . then after that is a left turn . After the turn you'll be riding beside the stream which will bring to the long flight of stairs. Then it's carrying time.

Although my frame is Trek Cr-mo double butted, The parts are XT and XTR combo. Also using V-brakes so the weight also lesser. My wheel set is light as am using mavic 517 with XTR hubs. Will be Shifting my XTR parts from my santa cruz over soon when the 07 XTR goes on the shelves. Most prob in Oct.

After giving your bike a good wash. Dry it and then use car wax. I use the 'kit' one. It not only gives the bike a good shine. But next time your bike is covered in dirt or mud. it will wash off much easier. all the best.

acidjazz
Anyway i used to cycle GT, its all made in taiwan now. From my experience, e bike is heavy, stock parts are lousy but for tt price its ok. Rather save more and invest in a cannondale or santa cruz or independent or ellsworth. Oh ya, now tt i remembered. Ellsworth is a superb bike, go check it out man. acidjazz
Ha lucky my GF bike the frame is made in USA. And it's easton aluminium. So quite light Maybe the higher range of GT is not bad. Its just like Scott bikes, the lower end ones are made in Indonesia while the Scale-10 or carbon frames are still made in taiwan or Usa. i still like the ellsworth truth, frame alone is 3.5k. Entire bike will cost up to 7-8k easily. . lol Quote 300 Gallon Reef Paradise 6X2.5X2.5 FT Tank : 4x2x2 ft sump : 2x1x2 ft refugim Skimmer: Deltec AP851 Calcium Reactor: Lightings: Aqualight T5 Retrofit, 150 watt MH X2 Chiller: Hailea HC-500A model w/ Aquabee 2000 Ozonizer: Hailea HLO-300 Digital ozonizer Wavemaker: Tunze 6080, Tunze 6060 Return Pumps: Aquabee 5000 x2 Other equipments: Aquabee 2000, Quietone 1200, 5L Co2 Cylinder w/ Dupla regulator American Marine Wireless Thermometer Reefing is a dedication, not a competition.
