getting rid of ich

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Have got a ich outbreak and was wondering, if by removing all fishes for a window of 2 months , will it resolve the prob as the parasite does not have a host?

Is there such a thing as a dormant stage, where they (Ich) can survive without a host ?

Cheers

Kojek

Good luck in your battle against the ich!! Happen to me once too.. my favourite flame angel perished bcos of ich. Best to remove the fishes and perform hyposalinity on them to cure them of the ich.

:peace:

Suggest u run a UV and try to reduce stress to your fishes. Normally, healthy fishes will not have ich outbreak unless triggered by something eg. poor water quality, addition of new lifestock(with poor health?) etc..

Meanwhile u can try feed Dr Bassler's medicated formula from AM for 10 days.

Hope ur fishes get well soon and no casualties :peace:
