What magic do Zoa require

Please help, My 3 Zoa since day one never fully open up but my mushroom is going well. I give coral food weekly and add some other chemical that said to help coral to grow but my is getting smaller and smaller.

Without chiller should be OK for zoa right? my tank is around 29degree.

Please advice.

My zoas colony is getting smaller and smaller by day and it seem no many keeper here are willing to share the trick to keeping zoas. It is really sad and there is no helping hand to it. Hope ypur zoas are ok now.

Pls be specific abt what chemical you're adding so maybe many of us can at the very least offer advice...

How big is your tank? What is your water parameter? KH/PO4/Calcium ?

FYI mushroom is easier to kept compare to zoa.

bros, i am no expert but so far, i do not have much problems with zoas and they usually spread quite fast in my tank..

I simply maintain at a reasonable range of KH between 6-8 and subject them to the max lightings and flow and they grow like crazy. Zoas are hardy and will still survive in low flow or low light but they really spread fast given intense light and flow..

I think one of the reasons your zoas are not oprning may be due to low KH. Just my personal opinion

Zoas doesn't require magic or tricks. They are quite hardy. So long as your parameters and lightings are good and there isn't any pest eating them, they should be ok.

Do post some pics and more information.

maybe i shd video how i clean the zoas and post into u-tube. kinda scary but proven so many times that its really good cleaning method.

Agree. Work perfectly for me too when my zoa colony kena infected but dunno what, many polp refuse to open up. I dip into distilled fresh water for 5 min. After 2 days every single polp open up very nicely
