I almost got conned too... coz this guy i met at some carpark, approach me... but i brushed him off... coz rushing to meet some friends.

Actually i already have Bose, so dun need liao. i dun like big speakers lah.

Hope you got ur money back...

To the rest, this is REAL! I mean REAL SCAM.

Sorry to hear about your plight Simon. The very first time I encountered it was 2 years ago at an car park near ##### Marine. I was suspicious but reluctant to "offend" them as they usually approach me when I am parking my car and I am afraid that that my car will be dis-figured when I am gone.

But after several time, and after hearing from friends who have been conned, I usually will give the guys in blue a call whenever I meet these people.

i also got approached a few times already, 1st time i encountered was a few yrs back, they say they got extra sets of av speakers, and dun want to bring back to the office, just some kopi money will do, then i told them i using bose system no need other system lol

after that i read about this scam, then subsequent time i got approached again i just told them eh alot of people doing already lah , very old style already and they just went off immediately in a rush

i came across this guys before (marsiling multi story car park) they are quite persuasive, i saw them again at lavender last year....this time i told them i have it....they drove off.

i also encounter tis once when i was washing my car at my car park at choa chu kang..a white van zoom past n stop near me then one guy in e car shouted "hey bro i got extra hi fi set wic e supplier give me extra by mistake but i dun wan bring bk to my boss,u wan anot??"

my 1st tot was might be stolen goods so i say no n immediately they zoom off...

think shld b e same guys u guys talking abt here......

heng ah i nvr ask to lok c wat isit???kekeke...mayb he c me washing car so sure nvr bring much $$$with me one..so nvr bother to ask further...keke

l also met that 2 chi guys just 3 weeks ago and they stopped me while l was abt to cross a small road in serangoon nth. Same thing, they want to clear a set of new branded speakers urgently and asked me to give them some money to buy beer. Didn't take the bait cos they looked damned dubious to me and things too good to be true.
