Help with Goniopora

Hi,

Got a goniopora coral last Friday and place it at the corner of my tank. All is well for the past few days. Today, the coral suddenly "puffed up" to 130% of its normal size and seems to have moved 10cm to 20cm by itself. Part of it is now pressing against the glass. What is wrong with it? Can I move it back to its original location. Its seems very "bloated" and I am afraid of bursting it or something if I touches it.

its normal...probably trying to find its spot...continue to observe...pressing against the glass for too long is no good as it prevents them from extending fully....

wat u can do is to glue them onto a rock and give them lot of space

Yeap its normal...:) it took mine a couple of weeks to become thin and long, if not its fat and short, sometimes looks like going to explode... Lol give it ample space like what was suggested above.:) my clownfish used to host and caused it to retract into its skeleton sometimes... :) just monitor...:)

Fresh fishes and inverts! What's next? To the salty side of marine of course!:)

I used to owned one but given away because temp in tank too high.

My nemo fed them with food, they bloated up be'cos yr tank light not sufficient (too low) and they needed slow water movement to capture their food...

thxs.

Hmm i kept them like how i saw them kept at the shop, though not as high flow as them... They seem to be acclimating and was back to normal aft a couple of weeks... Went well for a mth before i sold it due to space in tank so doubt its light problem...:)
