  1. Def. I intend to set that to small daily changes totaling 30-40% / month
  2. Thanks for the inputs. Leaning toward the Kamoer X2S. On top of the 2 dosing pumps, it has an ATO, similiar to the AutoAqua. The downside of AutoAqua is that it depends on the set distance between the 2 optical sensors. Having that in sump, if I do say a 15% water change, the water level in sump drops, whilst the pumps continue operation. Eventually that water volume drops to a point where there is no return flow to tank and no overflow back to sump? A little unsure on how that works out. Just placed an order for the Kamoer. Hope that works out! Else you will see me posting on marketplace soon. https://www.theaquariumsolution.com/product/8258/371
  3. My tank has been up for 6 weeks and am looking at automatic water changers to install in sump tank. Goals --> Mix up saltwater monthly with daily water changes totaling >30%/month, Constraints--> water storage is 1.5 m away from tank. Saltwater storage on ground, fresh water may be at 1m height I've sort of finalized on 2 options - the AutoAqua Smart AWC touch and peristaltic pump systems (Kamoer X2S or Neptune DOS) I like how the AutoAqua uses external pumps but dislike the dependency on the 2 optical sensors to detect when to stop draining and start refilling. The Kamoer/Neptune system enables a preset volume/frequency which seems to give me some peace of mind. What do you use or suggest?
  4. Setting up a new tank and was trying to get more information on the availbility of Marcorock here. I love the little nook and crannies on the surfaces. It also seems like Caribsea "live" rock is more prevalent whereas marcorock is pretty darn rare. Only Supreme carries it? Does anyone have any alternatives? Thanks!
  5. Hmmm.. can't go back to single pump liao, as tank already being built:) Are the pumps loud when running near max capacity? If so, I might work out a combination using 2 higher rated pumps as you mention.
  6. I'm setting up a new 3ft tank, about 300L total vol (tank + sump). In sump will be a auto roll filter, ATS, skimmer. 1) I don't have time to manage pump-related emergencies due to the nature of my work and am looking to have some backup built into the tank system with 2 return pumps. Primary return pump (Jebao DCP8000) -----> Chiller (Hailea HS66a) -----> Tank Secondary return pump (Jebao DCP 4000) ----->Tank Taking into account the head pressure on both pumps & recommended flow rate though chiller (1000 to 2500L/H) it seems feasible. The combined flowrate through sump is about 10x system volume. There will be a single gyre/or combination of wavemakers to make up for the rest of intank flow. 2) Also deliberating on whether to get the Bubble Magus Curve 5 or Z6 as both are about right sized for my setup. Can't find many reviews on the Z6. Not quite sure why. Appreciate your insights!
