alexcyf
Hi guys, anybody know other than madpetz. Anywhere else I can get their zero Ro/di 5 stage model? Or is this their house brand?? Alternatively, anybody has good recommendations other than crystal pro 3 stage? Quote Follow Alex's Reefing Journey @
boyington
Zero RODI is MadPetZ brand, but if getting it, please also get the booster pump. Have not tried other brands, maybe others can help.
SRC Member Kingking Posted January 28, 2015 SRC Member Share Posted January 28, 2015 I got my Zero RO/DI from Madpetz too. I stayed in Pasir Ris HDB 7th floor and my gauge PSI reads at 45. Ken from Madpetz said is okay but nevertheless I still get the booster pump to speed things up instead of waiting long long for it to fill up the bucket. SRC Member Kingking Posted January 28, 2015 SRC Member Share Posted January 28, 2015 I used to have the 3 stage Crystal Pro too, but it is difficult to get TDS 0 reading after one to two months later. So with the new tank, I change to Zero RO/DI 5 stage is better. Moreover, I think the cartridge refill is cheaper to get from Madpetz. Just my input. SRC Member Kingking Posted January 28, 2015 SRC Member Share Posted January 28, 2015 However, I think if you are having FOWLR, then the 3 stage Crystal Pro should serve well.

Ct13
Anyone can share how long the membrane will last? Or by using how many litres, we have to change the memberane or the other parts like resin, carbon etc?
Guest
Madpetz already open at woodland. How long the membrane last depend on the TDS level of your raw tap water. Higher it is, shorter it will last
SRC Member clownfish_forever Posted March 15, 2015 SRC Member Share Posted March 15, 2015 I just came across a YouTube video that suggest that an effective RO unit should have 90% - 99% rejection. In our case for marine top-up, is that a good gauge? Or should we be looking at 100% rejection efficiency? Because I keep seeing mention of TDS 0 reading. The formula the video uses is (Tap Water TDS - RO Water TDS)/Tap Water TDs x 100% = Rejection % Can someone advise? Thanks.
