You are most welcome... I believe in helping others so that we can all enjoy this hobby together. Its already expensive enough, and its gonna be worse if we learn things the hard way. So lets jus learn along and help each other out, cos i believe i'm no pro as well. So, i might require advice and help in the future, and i sure hope ppl would genuinely offer their tips, and advices too... haha
Enough said, you can purchase SeaChem De*Nitrate from most major LFS around S'pore. Its NOT MATRIX, i refer u to the wrong product, i'm so sorry bro. Thank God you haven buy, if not kana scold liao... haha I will refrain from stating names of shops here, but if u do require further details, feel free to PM me k... Just head down to some pretty big and well known LFS can liao...
I dun think those small neighbourhood LFS selling fresh water guppy and tetras would carry this product. So u can jus save the trip on checking these smaller neighbourhood shops.
As for the fishes, dun worry abt them starving, they wont. Other bros on this forum, perhaps can help chip in on whether i'm rite or wrong? I may be wrong, but all my fishes are still alive and doing alright. Anyone care to feed more info pls feel free k... Thanks in advance
All the best! Cheers!
Yup...u r right about feeding the fishes....actually i did not feed my fishes for almost 7days straight when I went for holiday.....the mushrooms and zoos are doing fine too........i am not sure if my tank has any plankton but maybe thats what keep them alive....
I tried installing the Resun SK05 skimmer but it produces too much air bubble which then disperse to air. I do not want this salty air to spread around my house and cause oxidization. I made my mind to remove it and resort to changing water every week.....anyway my tank looks better without it as it cannot fit into the sump....but no plan to sell it in case i am too busy to change water.....
-
Hi Scubajazz,
Is your skimmer working?
I just bought one fr AM but it seem faulty...
The parts are loosely joint. When I switch it on, there
isn't any tornado like those pics in HUSKYPOWER95 or TUNICATE.....
Water just oozing out from the top of the skimmer cover....
Another thing...how deep the skimmer can submerge in the water?
-
There is another tomato clown in the tank which is
spared from the killer.....All the fishes were very healthy.
I do not think the fishes died of natural causes because other
fishes are doing fine. There has to be serial killer doing this!
yeah...if the crab is big enough, I will invite you fellas over....
-
First, I had a Spotted Sweetlips. After returning from my holiday, I found the fish missing.
I thought it had died. Since there were no bones or any traces of the dead fish,
I thought the cleaner shrimps might had done a great job.
But, few days later I bought a Percula Clown and it went missing again just
like the Sweetlips. No corpse found. I want to find this silent killer!
I saw a small crab yesterday hiding under some rocks but got problem
trying to catch it because it dig into the sand bed. Is this crab a possible
killer who leave no trace behind? Any way to get rid of this crab?

Hi Scubajazz and Huskypower75,
I am thinking to get the Resun SK-05 skimmer for my Nanotank too.
But the tank is not from JBJ, so the compartment might be a bit
different and afraid it would not be able to fit the skimmer.
I would appreciate if you guys could share some pictures of your
tank how the skimmer manage to fit into the JBJ tank....
many thanks

What are sand dollars? Suitable for nano tank?
-
yup...i think the fish is going through the testing time now!!! haha!
u have any idea why the anemone just die off after 24 hours?
-
Hi Simon...thanks for the offer...Bedok is a bit far from
my place here in Sengkang. I dun drive....
Some terrible thing just happen to my tank...bought
1 Anemone from AM.....it died the next day...now my
tank has turned murky...trying to find the reason the causes
for the death...fishes inside are still doing fine!
-
Wow!!! What a long lecture I have!
Thanks a lot...
It sound convincing enough to start with
the LION Fish!
Where to collect from you then?
Btw....burning midnight oil to learn about
the fishes now...
-
how much for the CLOWNS?
where to collect?
-
All the readings seem ok for my new tank.
Yo reeftask...
Just read about the Volitan Lion...it needs at least
50Gallon tank and it has a venomous STING!
Moreover it can't make friends with CLOWNS etc...
Is that so???
-
Yup...being reading all the threads here for
Newbies...but find it very contradicting
some of the discussion...
some started after 4 days and even have corals...
some only starts after a month...
yeah!! hope i can see some lion dance in
my tank!
-
Do I need to make much preparation
for the fish and is it hard to keep?
Also, will it be compatible with other fishes
and corals?
Teach me! Thanks
