Anyone knows any LFS sells egg laying tiles for fishes eg discus/clown fishes? It would be good if one has a tile cutter to lend?

Kill this one ON SIGHT! This is the isopod blood sucker that will feed on your fish. If you see it on your fish, remove it asap.Note the two black eyes on top... unmistakeable.

Okay to feed some chaeto to your livestock. But if you don't remove some chaeto from the tank, you are not exporting.

chaeto is really the miracle algae. My chaeto doubles every 2-3 weeks. I wonder if anyone has done a comparison between a chaeto-refugium and Algae Scrubber
Well.. I am keeping both in my sump, I like to think that the different types of algae actually suck up 'different kinds' of nutrients...

I just couldn't fatten him up leh.
He got weaker over time and finally died...
The corals are doing well though especially the injured brain.

Like i say, it doesnt apply to all. At least you graduate b/f 30 mah, i turning 32 this year and no decent piece of 'paper'!
I know of many people with no paper who are doing better than me... Paper helps but no paper also won't die....

To check the mouth of large fishes is a probable scenario but for a smaller fish like a tang which is about 4 inches is I think close to impossible without stressing it out...perhaps only when it is DEAD. The times when I do see the mouth up close when it was in the QT and in the betabox .. I don't see anything abnormal.
Overall the fish looks healthy, no spot, no swelling.. swims very gently, not agitated at all.. the ONLY thing wrong is that it refuses to eat hence the stomach is sunken in. that's it.
Btw Terryz, as mentioned in some other prior post, I have tried every single conceivable known food to reefer-kind, ketchup wants to let nature take it's course .. so .... like that la.

This is the old look. The current scape is just slightly taller.... But it still quite a compact lump as I am not using any superglue or epoxy yet...

Low cost, Low complexity or Low class loh. Doesn't matter.
I believe that while marine hobby is not cheap, there is no reason why I cannot reduce the cost as much as I can.
I also believe in helping our mini marine environment find its own ecological balance through the use of more natural methods of nutrient export.
Lastly, I call it an experiment because I don't have a habit of following the accepted norm. E.g. I have keep my old tank with no water change for years, I top up with only PRIME treated tapwater, etc.
