  1. hi , beautiful tuskfish u hv , im been trying to keep HT but unsuccesfull in my last 4 tries , mine is also fowlr tank

All died within 1 month...how long hv u kept yours ? can share yr experience in keeping the HT..and where u got yr fish ?

Any others care to share experience in keeping this fish.

This HT been with me for slightly more then 1 year. Its in my quarantine tank for 4 months (2ft) before transfer to my FOWLR tank. Bear in mind that HT is a predator. Mine does not disturb fishes been in the tank, however new introduced fish will be disturb.

Recently introduce a 2" King Angel and HT is disturbing it. Luckily the small king can take care of itself.

  2. Which skimmer u using???

    Second to Iceman.

In order for senior reefer to advice, they will need to know the made and model.

May be you can also search the web to find out from the manufacturer of the skimmer web site. Too high a flow may not allow the skimmer to skim anything and will cause micro bubbles effect back to your sump/tank.

  3. Hi Bro

    My 2 cents.

It is the easiest to control AC then DC. Furthermore you want to control the voltage, the thermostat can cost a bomb.

If you control AC FAN, then it should be either ON or OFF. Easy....

  4. Have a 8 Line wrasse for bidding.

    Rules:

    Starting Bid price at S$1

Close Bid date and time 30 Apr 2008 23:59 SGT.

Winner will have to collect this fish before 5 May 2008 else will award to 2 highest bid and so for..

This fish is aggressive and thus great for keeping with larger fishes. Size of this fish 3 inches.

  5. HI Reefcrazy Bro

Way to go. I have brought this product from A-reef 2 days ago too. Will be running this test as well. Will keep all posted .

If remember correct, Tangs Bro had posted this product usage and results in one of the thread.

  6. Hi Randy Bro

Some tips on chosing LR in future. Always smell the LR b4 purchase. Ensure that there is no stink smell from the LR.

When curing your rocks in your main tank, you will need to run your skimmer as well. Of cos if you have space, you can cure your rocks on a separate tank once your main tank is with Live Stock.

I always cure my newly purchase rocks for 3 months before using on my main tank.

Another school of thoughts is to "kill" the live rock to turn them into dead rocks. This will ensure there are no un-wanted living organism to be introduce into your main tank. Then, let your tank to turn them back to live again.

    Just my cents.

  7. Hi Bro

You mean this CL280 is new? Or you brought it from someone else?

This is a 1/10 HP chiller. Have ever tested on a 6G tank that it takes 5 mins to cool down 1 degree.

Its sound fine to me if its takes 30 mins to cool 2 degrees for your 12 G tank which is 48 litres. After minus your rock or whatever, it should be less then 40 litres.

You can double confirm by using a second thermometer to confirm the temperate. Buying another external temp. controller might be a waste. Just my 2 cents.

  8. Hi Redstar Bro

Cool tank. Like this is newbie, then what is lower then newbie? I guess I am that....:-)

What are the 6 * T5 you used? In terms of blue, white or...etc. The pictures you have are fantistic.

What camera you used as well?

    Can share?

You equipment list does not include a chiller.
