hi... sorry i dun hav a PO4 testkit.. But is tested my NO3... its almost nil... the chaeto is doing well.. the problem has improved but still not fully solved.. i hav done 2 water changes so far... my lighting hrs is also cut by 2 hrs (now its 6 hrs a day)... and ya.. the algae blenny dun really eat hair algae... anyone wants to buy? 2 dollars... lol will probably look for sea hare again.. wat is the usual size of a sea hare? is it expensive? is it reef safe? thks for all the advice..

thks all for the advice... looks like i have v limited options for my 1 ft... but i hav gotten an algae blenny when i pass by pasir ris juz now.. hopefully it can help to solve or at least reduce the amt of algae... my NO3 is always abt 20ppm.. PO4 i dunno... already changing water every wk.. each time abt 40 or 50%... the algae prob came only when i change my lights from 11W to 18W PL...

haha.. thks bro for the chaeto... its doing fine at the back of my nc now... but i guess i need to get a small powerhead to provide more flow to it... hopefully it wont die off again.. yellow tang.. i'll try to look ard for a small one... but im afraid it would be a problem with my other fishes.. too small to house them.. thks..

hi all... my 1 ft tank is having a severe outbreak of hair algae... from sandbed to live rock... full of it.. was tinking of gettin a sea hare to clear things up... so i would like to ask how big is a sea hare?? can if be kept in a 1ft cube? how much does it cost?? or is there any alternative cleaning up crew to help, such as hermit or snail? do they help?? thks..

Ammonia 0... Nitrite 0... if possible nitrate also 0...( though mine hav nv reach 0 before)... pH ard 8.1-8.3 will be fine... that would be the best conditions... of cos the rest such as salinity n temp muz also be stable..

i did the same as many reefers... remove all my bio rings n bio balls... now using small live rocks in place of them... i had some chaeto... however i cant hav the luxury of a skimmer... mine is juz a small nc12 gal...

haha.. good to know the turbo is doing its job... shld be enough to clean up the tank in a few days... juz beware of hermit..

hi.. u kept ur chaeto in the return chamber? actually i intend to do that too but i was afraid it might get sucked into the return pump n spoil it... did u use any net or wat to prevent it from happening? as for light... ya... i managed to get a better light... but i guess its too later... the chaeto has gotten brittle... so i wan2 try it again with a new bunch... anyone can spare? i juz need a little...

hi.. all... i'm still tryin to find those submersible LEDs.. cant seems to find them at the LFS i went to... they mainly sell submersible halogen light which r yellowish... of lower Kelvin... i'm aware that chaeto can grow with those lights but at a slower rate... i dun wan my chaeto's growth to be slowed down... so will continue to search for the LEDs first... anyone can advice me where to get? ya... like i say... mine is a nanocube... i cant fit in those energy saving lamps without removin my hood... the other alternative is to peel the black sticker behind... but i guess i wouldnt look nice on the entire set up... kinda messy... thks for all the advice anyway...

erm... from my experience... mine is a false gramma... too aggresive... killed my fire goby in 1 wk plus...but im not sure if a royal gramma would do so... maybe u can introduce ur fire goby before the royal gramma... oh ya.. mine is a much smaller tank.. 12 gals...
