As for relays or contactors, I do not use any because my amperage usage does not warrant the use of one. Take into consideration for your load and startup amp and add a safety factor! Only you can decide if it is safe enough to run without a relay coz I do not know what is your electrical load!
what equipment are u using your fox with..
MH?
i will be using it with Atman MH 600.
so need any relay,,

Wah how come so many people got marine tank as a gift .... will it really be a gift or a curse
wah brother don scared me lei..
well...but my co partner which is my father in-law insist on using a pipe..
he say pipe don take up lots of space and neater..
box is bigger = ugly
btw...do we need a RELAY for FOX 1004 TEMP CONTROLLER?
i intend to use the FOX to stop the MH when the chiller spoil..
so now do it need a relay???
-
Cost range from $65-$150+++. I'm using the AC to AC version capable of handling up to 3Amp. Heater or Cooler function, full delta control, plastic coated probe and 3 digit LED display. FOX is a made in Korea brand. Working very well for me so far.
i just got myself a Fox 1004.
well heard from the boss of the shop that there waz a sudden increase of customer looking for this model..
he would like to extend his thanks to you..brother for helping him to advertise

*** ***
now getting confused
-
The sensor can be use to sense temp. range of -40.0 Deg to +90 Deg.
wow.
i don think we need this range i think anything from 20 - 40 deg can liao...
anyway for the location brother
-
any good brands to recommend??? don want those noisy ones
-
The usual price of the temperature is around $90+/-. I got mine at a discount of $65 because I bought in bulk (About 15 controllers).
The wiring is very simple, however, the only timer fuction is the start delay. Meaning to say, if I set the time delay to 15mins and the temp flucuates frequently, the controller will ony allow the MH to restart after 15mins when the temp has dropped beyond your preset level.
hmm where can i buy this gadget?
sim lim tower or sim lim square?
do they come with a instruction manual..
i can ask my technician to look into it

Is 1/10 resun chiler enuff for a 3 ft * 3 ft * 2.6ft* tank with a MH blasting for SPS?

thank you

i just want to get one that can switch off my MH when the temp goes beyond 29 ..
does this gadget comes with a timer function too???
-
how i hope i can place the chiler outside..
but cannot lah...
the tank is inbetween my living room and my wife piano room..
can be seen from both room..she dosent agree to have the chiler in both places
-
so should we off the lights..
or let say use MH for 10 hours, then use actinic lights for the next 12 hours..
then maybe 2 hours LIGHTS OFF
-
ok..but how much is a actinic light... 3 ft tank...
-
i am persuading my father who is my co partner in setting up a marine tank to get a timer...
he say just need to on and off can liao...
i think its better to have a timer....
well....how much is a actinic light for a 3 ft(ht) * 2.6 Width * 3 ft length tank?
what is the suitable size..need to convince him with facts and figures
-

My backups has saved my tank three times already.
Hence the best thing to do is be prepared!
how to install this "safeguard"..
can someone teach a newbie here....
due to the nature of my job, i can be away for more than 15hrs...so i think its essential to install a safeguard
