  1. As for relays or contactors, I do not use any because my amperage usage does not warrant the use of one. Take into consideration for your load and startup amp and add a safety factor! Only you can decide if it is safe enough to run without a relay coz I do not know what is your electrical load! :)

    what equipment are u using your fox with..

    MH?

    i will be using it with Atman MH 600.

    so need any relay,,

    wah brother don scared me lei..

    well...but my co partner which is my father in-law insist on using a pipe..

    he say pipe don take up lots of space and neater.. <_<

    box is bigger = ugly :unsure:

    btw...do we need a RELAY for FOX 1004 TEMP CONTROLLER?

    i intend to use the FOX to stop the MH when the chiller spoil..

    so now do it need a relay???

  3. Cost range from $65-$150+++. I'm using the AC to AC version capable of handling up to 3Amp. Heater or Cooler function, full delta control, plastic coated probe and 3 digit LED display. FOX is a made in Korea brand. Working very well for me so far.

    well heard from the boss of the shop that there waz a sudden increase of customer looking for this model..

  4. Hi everyone out there.

    new in marine...

    just got a tank 3 ft (length) 3ft (height) and 2.6 width.. a gift

    15mm thick

    using MH and chiller.

    chiller havent decide which brand to use...

    two holes is drill on the tank..

    they are meant for PVC pipes.

    1 for water in the other for water out

    so far any comments on this setup?

    what is the immiment problem i will face.

  5. The usual price of the temperature is around $90+/-. I got mine at a discount of $65 because I bought in bulk (About 15 controllers). :)

    The wiring is very simple, however, the only timer fuction is the start delay. Meaning to say, if I set the time delay to 15mins and the temp flucuates frequently, the controller will ony allow the MH to restart after 15mins when the temp has dropped beyond your preset level. :)

    hmm where can i buy this gadget?

    sim lim tower or sim lim square?

    do they come with a instruction manual..

    i can ask my technician to look into it

  7. i am persuading my father who is my co partner in setting up a marine tank to get a timer...

    he say just need to on and off can liao...

    i think its better to have a timer....

    well....how much is a actinic light for a 3 ft(ht) * 2.6 Width * 3 ft length tank?

    what is the suitable size..need to convince him with facts and figures

  8. Need to know how many hour of MH do you guys on..

    when u never on your MH, what other light is there to substitute it...

    my father going to install a mh over my marine tank...soon,,,

    so need to know this answer,...

    and btw...can we just on MH when we like and off it.. >> this method dosent work well with SPS rite...
