I want to remove my Brown Tang and Damsel.

...???Is your damsel greedy... If so can use bait to lure him out... Else... How much rockwork do you have... Then take the LR out and then catch it lor...

agree... prefer AC ones.... but then sometimes.. due to requirements have to use DC motors... IMO.. they break down faster than AC ones....

Disconnect the negative cable from your car battery,use one of your hand and hold onto the positive terminal and another one on the car body.
This is 12 volt dc battery,see you like the feeling.

try working on a 5000kVA genset.... you actually have to go into the room just to change the brushes... before entering one... you use a ohm meter to "short" yourself with 1000V... very shiok man...
No one is saying that Dc is not dangerous.. in high enough ampere.. it can kill... or at leats knock you out for a short period of time.. macham those tasers...

God know how many time I slept thru lectures.... no wonder I keep on getting shocks everytime i am working on an electrical system... or at least trying to repair one.... can take apart... but then put back...

Since when did I say that DC would not kill... If you had bothered to read like 3-4 previous post... you would have realise dthat I replied to OB that DC can kill... and I have seen a colleague die once from just 24VDC while I was working on a rig some four years back in the North Seas.... 
And you seem to be rebutting all the threads... you got a agenda or what???.....

after running for more than 8 hrs.... the diluted vinegar cannot even remove the slimy stuff in the PVC hose- 7 litre tap water with 3.25litre of vinegar ..... guess AT is rite, the vinegar itself already very weak, if diluted with water somemore, might as well use tap water to flush...
wanted to buy acid from my local hardware shop but they only sell in 5 little container. it is those very concentrated type where you can even c smoke come out once the cap is open
... after thinking twice, better not take the risk, the acid might be too strong and corrode the titanium coil coading....dont use those... unless you dilute it.... every 1part acid to 5part water... They are Hydro-cloride acid... And if you use them then make sure you are wearing thick rubber gloves... and a nose peg to clip your nose...
then make sure that you flush it for abt 2hours or so to ensure that it is gone from your system...
I use those to clean the raw cement after renovation works at my place... very effective... very strong...

hey bro... no worries... let me try and explain it further... the reef rack is to rest on your sandbed... unless you wanna built it so hight that it can reach your tank bottom.... normally its on the sand bed.... the reef rack is basically like any racks.. just that it is in plastic material.... and then you just stack your rocks on them.. one after another....

Could you explain to me then what you meant by...

My impression was you would use a material to support the LRs so that it doesn't rest squarely on the sand.

Reef rack is something whereby you sit your LRs on... thus creating space between the LRs and your DSB.... you should be able to make one out of pvc pipes... this is quite common as not only can you raise the level of your rockwork and thus saving the money needed to purchase big boulder LRs to serve as your baserock...

Wont PL on for so long get heated? cost my PL very hot sia..
I dont knwo abt PL... but my MH are so hot you can actually get a sun tan if you stand right underneath it....
And my T5s too... they get hot but then just get enought air circulation can oledi....
haven't had any trouble with me lights yet...
