  1. ok I know the price of this skimmer is attractive...

but I'm wondering by the look of the messy wire "needle wheel" of this skimmer.

It seem to me that it will get easily dirty and thus end up reduce performance and worst stop skimming totally.

So how long you need to take the pump out and wash that messy wire "needle wheel". Also as stated the water flow rate and air rate given it sound unreal for the kind of pump given it quite unlikely that the kind of water and air rate can be acheive.. well maybe I'm wrong..

  2. how may volts is your moonlight?

    Running on 4.5v one..

Anyway the 5ft T5 consist of

Light set with super parabolic reflector

    5 nos moonlite

80W HO AquaMedic GERMAN tubes (True Actinic blue)

The T5 and the moonlight each are of different plug thus you can control them differently.

  3. I'm afraid divinesloth was clearer in his post than in ur last post ;)

But i believe responsibility lies in all of us, not just as a buyers or sellers. If i see someone getting stiffed out of a purchase (and i am by no means refering to this sale thread), i believe it's our responsibility as reefers in this community to speak up...

buying and selling aside, responsible reefkeeing shld be the overarching belief we all should subscribe too. 'nuff said....

Lets no retract from this sale thread, i believe Alan has made a great effort in clearly specifying his terms of sale. This discussion can then be taken offline.

Apologies again Alan, i believe i may have unnecessarily started this :off: debate. Can we all just play our parts and let the sale thread proceed?....

lolz.. it's ok let this be a lesson to teach other how the business law in singapore is.

Well I do not fully agree cause unless you say the seller is trying to cheat then that is something different.

For do not mix up with responsibility as a reefer and sales. For when come to sales it does not include responsibility as a reefer unless otherwise stated in the contract. or unless you are getting a service and not a sale.

For I can say that other then just sell you the thing, other service out of the sales provided is just out of goodwill and buyer will not be able to demand for it.

let say for e.g. you go to LFS or buy a fish from anyone, once out of the shop the fish dead. Well you can't sue him for beach in contract but you can try sue him under the law of negligence if let say during the process of packing the fish is not done properly thus result in the fish dead. But if everything is normal there nothing you can do to sue him.

For all you may black mouth that person and say he should responsible for it and say whatever you are right but in the law that person is as clean as you are thus end of the day both are not in the wrong.

  4. I disagree

Isn't this a "buyer beware" forum? If you want to buy something here, be prepared to be responsible for the sale.

Sorry base on Singapore business law:

A buyer is the one who make the term of offer before accept by the seller.

Thus what I'm doing here is putting up a notice asking for offer.

Thus the responsible lie on the buyer and not the seller.

  5. You're right....it's not your obligation nor responsibility...but if you are asking for 15 grand from someone...common courtesy would dictate that you assist the fella in some of these task seeing that there will be significant disruptions in your household anyways...and by the way, you're not an LFS so it's not relevant. I would've expected more responsibility from reefers...not from LFS owners as they are after all in the business of making money...

As to the purpose of my posting...i apologize if it appears as if it is disrupting your thread but this forum is still about educating ppl. And from the look of it these days...there's a lot of less informed individuals in this hobby. I was merely pointing out certain points for consideration. 15 grand is a lot of money...if someone were to consider buying, they should be entitled to all the information that's available.

At the end of the day...i will apologize again if i have disrupted your thread and should the mods feel that i have done so, please feel free to remove my postings and i will refrain from posting any further comments.

    cheers.

no worry.... for after all this is the buy and sell thread thus the educating part does not apply here.

Help and plan on how to transport the tank and staff will be out of goodwill and thus no cost is ever factor in.

  6. OK I have an idea...

Let me set the rule here..

I will break up the price of my equipments and live stock.

1st The whole entire system will not be sold unless every items is been reserve.

2nd For those that reserve, a non refundable 50% deposit is require (whereby I will write a formal contract for the deposit, which you can bring to court to sue if there is a beach in contract)

3nd The sale will end at 30th Sept 2006. If failure to sell off all my equipments and 80% of my live stock. All the deposit of reserve items will be refund back.
