The setup allow you to install an external return pump instead of submerged (You still able to do it if you want) to reduce heat generate into the water (Energy saving purpose). You can directly plug in the return pump if you're using ehiem 1262 as I've designed the piping for this model.

Actually you don't need to spend $$$ on super glue gel. I was using those $1 for 4 tube super glue before decom. I even use it to stick SPS on rock. What you need is a bit of skill. The only disadvantage is that you have to do it outside the water.

I connect my return pump to the chiller. The chiller only run at 1/4 of a day time (e.g. Run 15 min and stop for 45 min). Temperature interval is 1 degree C. This is a good and efficiency chiller.
