    thanks for the inputs guys.

yo jacky, 2 pills of what ? amox ? if that's what's really needed, i do have amox. but how to use that ? won't harm LS ? :pinch: yeah i start to notice other areas also under the sand start to look like this. but why all under only ? i don't see any on the surface ?

  2. The old fat mandarin from Jfield passed away after my Blue Tang suddenly decided to attack it one day... haiz.

sorry for that loss ... sigh, these things hard to understand ... same as when my female flame got bitten by clown and literally wiggled around and thrown like a doll :chair:

  3. blue tang likes hiding, when stressed or sometimes just like playing. they also love lying down like us ! you should see it most of the time though swimming around which is what it loves to do, otherwise, yeah something might be stressing it.

  4. so long as u do water change diligently and clean yr tank walls often...and dose bacteria after water change shd control these diatoms from overwhelming yr tank...and flow is more impt.

+ 1. do your water changes, a little more frequent if necessary, slowly removing the diatoms themselves, as well as their food source.

  6. quite a few ice probe users before. i recall whq also had his straight in-tank, something like a 1-ft cube size i think. previously, i rigged mine on an HOB filter, also put in some big pieces of my black sand (like pebbles) to help keep the cooling. as long as your ambient temp is not that hot, should be ok. mine was ~ 17-gal, and was able to lower tank temp about 2-deg running 24/7 with no controller. had a little help though with a little ariconditioning at night.

  7. I've had an MP10 for about 2 years now, and it works perfectly fine, so it might just be a batch problem? I've never run it at full blast though...

not sure, maybe ... here and there i've just seen such breakages happen. and for that cost, just sticking with tunze first ... but with the new ecotech led coming up and syncing with the wavemaker for more adverse simulated weather conditions ... hmmm ... wow ...

  8. defintiely territorial. i somehow agree on the size. i've had a similar issue before, the introduced new clown is a little smaller. with the new addition of a bta, the smaller clown was the first one to host it. later on the bigger clown hosted it as well, and didn't like to share it, thus you can see the smaller clown angry and literally like scolding and throwing tantrums when the big clown was relaxing on the bta, and the big clown will chase the small one like hell out of it if it hosts while away. been like that for a couple of weeks, but not as rough in causing injury. next thing you know, they share it already, take turns during lights on, and at lights off, both of them try to fit themselves toegther in the small bta. maybe my clown has a milder behaviour, since i noticed when the mandarins get close to the bta, the clown pushes the mandarin slowly 'with care' away ... maybe holding the other clown in the betta for quite some time will make the clowns get oriented to each other more first ? ...

  9. good you caught it, hope there aren't any more. i saw in national geographic (i think) last weekend, a certain isopod (on a snapper) which sucks the blood of the hosts' tongue, and once the tongue 'dies', the isopod actually becomes the hosts' tongue ...
