The iceprobe now is serving my nano tank and able to keep at 26.5 to 27.5 so it should not have any problem for iQ5. Go ahead

Bro, what's the temp like for the IQ3 during hot periods?
No problem in maintaining at 24 - 25 degree during hot periods cause of iQ3 small water volume. I use it with a controller though as without controller it can went down to 18 degree

How bout adding an Ice Probe? Less evaporation. You could also do a mini ATO with a hamster bottle. I'm not sure if the IQ5 has that kind of space though...
Imo, the Ice Probe is too huge to mount on any pico tank. Don't think there's a need to worry much about evaporation with such a small covered tank. With fan blowing, maybe DIY a temporary ATO for weekends is a good idea.
Tt TLF magnet looks like deceptively big in the photo! Totally cool product for pico owners, it is tiny and super handy at cleaning the walls with it's super small and flat inside surface

I think iceprobe can be mount on the back overflow compartment of the iQ5, i have mount it on my iQ3 before.

i guess the challenge will be once all of em grow big ... for such a tank size, it's nice to see them corals look small and cute Thats what i like about small tank cos its cute.

Thanks. Agreed that small tank volume have limited room for errors, that's why now i do wc twice weekly to maintain it so far so good. Anyway for nano tank maintenance is a breeze unlike big tanks

Some more random pics with some new additions in my pico.
Purple humilis turn brown but now slowly show signs of green pigments on it, too much iron? i only dose trace elements, potassium iodide, strontium weekly and pohl's xtra daily.
Trying to catch the midas as its bullying the tailspot and yasha......

haha, now you can see from my pic the size of your midas in my tank
The blasto is still red in color but the color shown in the pic is orange brown. I took the pic with a normal camera after adjusting white balance still the same.

Some more random pics with FTS, still very empty.
Planning to stock slowly and not rush into it.The lump of sand in between the rocks is dump by the randall pistols shrimp. My kids likes to see how he dig the sand and spill it all over the yasha goby's face but the goby doesn't seem to care less.

Some updated tank info.
Filtration - Tunze Reef pack 200 with Rowa carbon and ZEOlith rocks in the overflow compartment. Dosing of Brightwell Bio-Fuel (carbon source) x 4 drops daily, dosing of Microbacter 7 x 5 drops once every 3 days. Zeovit coral snow once weekly, dose on the day before WC. Weekly water change of 1.5 gallon.
Additive dosing - ESV potassium iodide x 5 drops once every 2 weeks, ESV strontium chloride x 3 drops once every 2 weeks, 1 ml of trace elements once every week during WC. Pohl xtra x 2 drops daily. KH and calcium buffer dosing once weekly with checking of water parameters twice weekly for now. Coral vitalizer x 1 drop once every 2 days.
Flowrate in tank - 1500lph from the Tunze 6045(new version with mechanical flow control) and 800lph from the Tunze Reef Pack 200.
Lighting - Aquazonic Sirius LED x 2, Arcadia Royal Blue 1W led x 2 and 11W PL light x 1. Lighting ok for zoas and other corals but may not be enough for SPS in my opinion.
Temperature - Maintain between 26.5 - 27.5 with the Iceprobe TEM chiller.

Can bros help me id this sps, is it a valida? It was totally dark brown when i got it, after some time in my tank, the brown have lighten up and show some blue coloration on its tips. But the purple humilis is still a bar of kit kat

Initially took a pipe and guide the Yasha Pair to burrow at the front side of the scape but overnight they shifted house to the side where my skimmer is.
