Guys....for your info Flatworm Exit does not work on these acro flatworms...even at 10x the recommended dosage.
Had them before...best is to isolate the colony and do freshwater dips every 2 weeks till you don't find them anymore. Provided you don't kill off the already stressed out colony.

Currently I have a school of 8 evansi in my tank. They are with me for at least 5month. I feed them chopped frozen shrimps and live bbs.
They have a preference for small particulate food.
1 of them even take whole frozen mysis.
They are not skinny but then I wish they are as fat as my dispar.
IMO they are more picky than the 2 purple queen I have.
It will be best if you can feed them constantly
-
Better not to do that unless you like nice white skeleton.
-
hmm.. since it is high in nutrients and sterile...... why not use it for plankton culture....... so how seniors ???
Use it to hatch bbs.....

Fuel. Thanks but no thank....it is tedious work
Not going to try for a while

Got about 20 peppermint larvaes from AT, and I manage to keep 4 of them alive. The are coming to 5weeks old and about 1cm in length with super long legs.
Should be settling soon I hope (maybe the next moulting) and then it will be easier as they will be transferred into the tank.
They are fed with rotiers on the 1st few days and then rotifers and bbs after that. Perform about 20% water change every or every other day.
-
If you mean putting them directly under the sun, then no ....unless you are using chiller.
I am using ambient light to grow mine....growth rate is slow and cannot compare to those using flourscent lighting.
-
Would advise you to keep them in a separate tank and feed them with plenty of live phtoplankton/rotifers
Do not use net to catch them. once damaged they are as good as dead.
It take about 100+ days before they settled and become mini shrimps. (provided they make it to that stage )
Good luck

Max, how do you term 'long term'?
more than 2yrs.....?
My PM skimmer is still working OK after 3+ yrs, although I broke the neck off during cleaning last year. I have the neck glued back and have no problem so far.
Workmanship is very important as well as finishing on the egdes that is to be bond. Big gaps and the bonded parts will be very weak and can give way after some time.
Handling by the hobbyist is another, if the unit is subjected to knocks everytime it is maintain....it wouldn't last very long
-
IMO, they require alot more live food. Provide food like copepod would be the best. New tanks will not have enough of these kind of food to support them. Keeping them in a refugium help.
They are basically sand seiver or that is what I have observed during my dives.

Are you willing to kill the fish to find out what ###### it is?
If yes then take a blade and slice the fish to see whether it got eggs...you will know if it is a male or female then
-
Firstly check and verify that your your ph test kit is accurate.
IF you have a faulty test kit....then there is a risk of over dosing on buffer.
-
OK then watch them fight .......
-
I have no idea how to differentiate the ###### of the fish
-
How many did you buy?.....
-
Best would be as soon as possible
Tentatively book the slot already
Best can let me know by early April....
Will update when I get more info
I have 4 confirmed including me

Destination can be decided later
Malaysia or Indonesia....majority of the votes wins.
Malaysia will be the group of islands from Aur to Tioman
Indonesia wiill be the Anambas group but not the Udang rigs...think it is a waste of time travelling all the way there

Sorry guys, didn't notice this thread
Might arrange a trip, destination either Tioman and surrounding islands or Anambas. It will be a 3D/4N
It will be a LOB on the Empress (anyone heard of this dive boat? )
Tentatively there is a opening on the 1st weekend of June.....will confirm once I got more information.
Will have to charter the whole boat so may need confirmation early.
Can take up to 16 but best will be around 12. Cost will be split equally among us.
Lets see some gems
