extrema too powerful for 2012. should use it for 2013 or 2014. I had tried extrema with 2014 and it's perfect. i dun belive that u must use a very high flow rate pump for weipro. waste electricity, making ur water more warmer and finally the skimmate is watery. try to use those pumps that are used for return pump which has high pressure output and sure u will get good skimmate

using 3000 is an definetly an overkill and won't do any good to the ps. try to use a good pump of 1500l/hr to 1800l/hr (eg eheim or those use for return pump)
once i had a weipro 2011 with a 2200l/hr pump and I compared it with a 2014 with a 2200l/hr pump, the result is 2014 with a 2200l/hr pump works much better then the 2011 with 2200l/hr pump. the longer the length of the reaction charmber the better.

oh yes selling this sicce extrema because I just got a used cap 2200 pump (rated 2200l/hr) from a closing down fish shop (sell me $12 only hehe) and peformance was comparable to this extrema. (within 1 day weipro 2014 already start to foam. tested with the extrema and cap on 2014 and both produce almost the same result)

Brief detail of Sicce Extrema

EXTREMA is a fully submergible pump driven by a permanent magnet type synchronous motor.
EXTREMA has a flow regulator fitted to the front section, which permits precision variation of the water flow.
The pump has a 3/4” threaded outlet coupling. It is also possible to connect flexible hoses with an inside diameter of 20 mm., using the adapter supplied standard.
When a wide platform base is required, the folding suction cup feet fitted on the pump can be used.
All SICCI submersible pumps are suitable for hydroponic nutrient pumps, aquariums, ponds, fish tanks, water features and water displays.
Specifications:
- Power consumption: 35 watts
- Max delivery head: 3 metre
- Adjustable flow rate range: 563 L/hr ~ 2500 L/hr
