Hi I hope you don't mind if I interrupt you.? I'm thinking of getting 3 T5 ATI for my 3 by 1.5 by 1.5 tank without chiller. If the heat is as hot as MH, as you say, would you advise that I'm better to consider using just 2 T5s...? If this is a silly question, no need to reply. Thanks.

Bro, I was trying to get rid of the air pocket.....not bubbles . ..and pple say I'm the silly cow. Moo moo!! Anyway have checked the connections, seems water tight (wanted to say " seems 'air tight' " but after you get confused again with 'air' and 'bubbles' and you too became confirm 'silly cow'). Just did a wet run with canister 2217(without any media) and skimmer. Everything is okay except for the canister tubing. Both inlet and outflow tubing have air in it and the water is only trickling out at the outflow. Could someone advise me on how I could force it out or how I could do better? Thanks.

Sorry my mistake ...at least I've one less doubt... Could you explain to me then what you meant by... "That is why I have reef racks built so that very little base LRs will sit on the sand" My impression was you would use a material to support the LRs so that it doesn't rest squarely on the sand. HI AT, I'm new here so correct me if I'm wrong. Would it mean that if I were to make a 4"DSB, I would need to stack 4" or 5" of egg crates, fill in the sand and sit the LR on the egg crates? Thanks.

I have an Eheim 2217 canister. And I don't know which filteration media to place from bottom up? I've decided on (subject to change still..): 1.Bio Rings 2.Chemi-pure 3.Poly filter 4.Biohome Which should I place first...starting from the bottom. Thanks in advance.

Is it the I-box? How much? My 3ft tank has no hole. Thinking of putting a sump but troublesome to drill hole.

Has anyone ever tried connecting the outflow piping of a Eheim 2217 to the inflow piping to a Weipro skimmer? The reason why I'm asking is because I'm trying to minimise the number to tubing going into the tank. Thanks in advance.

Okay and thankls for the advice. Just had a look at the cabinet, I guess I could consider a very small sump 20" by 16" by 13" - about 18 gallons to 50 gallons in the tank. Would it be worth the effort or should I just stick to the canister Eheim 2217? Appreciate all the help I can get to get started. Thanks in advance.

Sorry couldn't back to you sooner. I intend to place the skimmer in the cabinet. Will need to make ventalation holes in cabinet. Canister will also be placed in the same cabinet. Working the out piping now. Not quite sure what I'm getting myself into..??? Hee! Hee!

I'm afraid so ... I've no space or place for a sump.Weipro and canister will be in cabinet. Will need to make some ventilation as well.
