Oprime

Hi Guys. Love the camaraderie and that all of you are chipping in! It's like being back in the School Science lab with the exception that we can't really afford to go wrong. Just emptied my first bit of tea colored liquid from the airlift protein skimmer.. Attached are 3 pictures and I need some help on what these things are on the live rock. The first picture is of a feathery creature that retracts when you get close to it. The second picture is of a blackish thing which is soft and awful looking. That's one component of this 2nd picture. The other component is a baby anemone looking thing. The last picture if of a cluster - reddish with white tips. Looking forward to receiving your replies. P.S. The tank is a 63 litre and I will be getting a wave maker this week.

Thanks Terryz. Its a Juwel Tank - the Rekord 600. How much would a Tunze 6025 cost? If I get a chiller, which one is suitable and how much will that cost? Will be adding some live rock today. Tank has been running for a week now and the water is clear.

Hi Guys. Need some advice on my new tank set up. Its 61x31x42cm. The lighting is T5 x 4 and the external filter is an Eheim Classic 250 (2213) - 440/L per hour. Will be using a Berlin protein skimmer which hasn't been fitted yet. What else will I need? I was told that a chiller wont be necessary if i keep it simple. Looking forward to your replies.
