hi, i've got a bangii cardinal n it seems quite peaceful. it doesn't harass my other fish... however, they onli eat meaty stuff for their diet, so u can't feed them wif pellets or any vege kinda food... i read sumwhere dat they dun really mix well wif the same kind. i mite be wrong so can any experts out there clarify this??? sorry, no exp wif urchins... hope i was sum help

oic, cos i spoke to sumone b4 n he said i probably nid to retro fit my hood, dat's y i'm still sticking to my hopeless light bulbs cos of $$ contraints....

i heard dat canister filters will cause nitrate probs after awhile. is dat true? how effective are the activated carbon n phosguard? cos i'm having probs with algae.... however, i notice dat the algae will onli appear if i've my lights on for long hrs n if i switch my lights off during the nite, the algae will be gone the next morning... y is dat so???

bawater, sorry, i know it doesn't really make any sense in my post. wat i'm trying to say is does the normal lighting hood supports the FL tubes for marine in terms of wattage or watever u mite call it... the hood i hv holds 2 tubes....

thks for replying.... i was using chemi-pure but i changed it to sumthing similar by seachem... actually i prefer to use a sump or a refugium but i can't do anything nw cos my tank's oledi up....

hi guys, i'm using a canister filter and i'd like to find out for those who are using it, wat do u use as media? i've got cotton on the top layer, activated carbon on the 3rd tray and bio homes in the last 2 trays...
