  1. Any iq5 owners willing to share what powerheads they use for their iq5?
  2. I want to create wave in my iq5. Any other smaller wavemaker to intro? Seems to me that vortech mp10 is the smallest.
  3. Bought from NY 3 weeks ago at $58. Am looking to clear it at $35. As good as brand new.
  4. the moment i move my hand in the water, they are awake lol.
  5. I have purchased an eheim compact 600 and I can't fit in in my iq5 dymax back compartment. Is there any other brand that is as small as the stock dymax 200 powerhead and provides more flow as the stock dymax 200 is too weak . Need something that size to squeeze it into the iq5's back compartment.
  6. As stated. Purchase 3 weeks ago at $58 and realized it's too big to fit into my iq5 dymax back compartment. Looking to clear at $35 only.
  7. I'm facing the same problem. My clowns won't host my anemone too.
  8. So. The moment it says all zero it's done? And the above 3 mentioned won't go up no more? And what If it does goes upagain? Change 10% water again?
  9. Hmm. My corals are opening up now. And I'm only left with royal dotty back and nemo. As for now. Everything seems to be working well. Another thing is my tank has been around for 2 weeks. Is it still not properly cycled yet?
  10. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lol. no one should die on me no more. So i just top up with fresh water? The water at my filter area really evaporates soooooo quickly. My Salt level in my iq5 is doing 1.015. Is that ok?
  11. Hmmm thanks for all the replies. i top up salt water from the LFS as and when it evaporates. As for water change, i do that once a week? prolly 10-20% but i thought i'm not suppose to change water so to let the bacteria set in? i didn't had the chance to do a proper water cycle. So basically now, I'm doing the cycle with my fishes and corals ( is that how it works? ). And one of my nemo died on me last night, when i came back home. Realized one of em is missing, look around for a good 5 mins and found his dead body underneath a live rock! how's that possible? what could have causes his death? There's no bite marks on him either. At first i thought the anemone ate him!
  12. Nooooo. i love my current set up Nothing's dying on me yet. But my fren's royal dotty back died today. omg
  13. Always thought the light was good and all till I read up bout par 38. Omg so many thing to change! I'm feeling lost now. Like totally stuck lol.
  14. How much is par 38 and where can i get em?
  15. I'm actually running on the 46 led by dymax made for iq5. Lights pretty much enough I suppose. My zoas ain't opening for the past 2 days. Wonder what is wrong. Any idea?
  16. OMG yes, i bought the test strips Christ. Paid like $30 for it. This is how my silly tank looks like
  17. noted, won't be changing water till i settle all this problems. i have currently got 8 corals. Zoas, Tube Worm, Anemone, Jewel, the other 4 im not certain no more i just bought this API 5 in 1 test kit yesterday. How's that spoiled! lol.
  18. And also, im thinking of getting a chiller for my iq5. As i have read up and many has said that the only way to have your corals open up healthy and all is to maintain good water temp and also having enough flow. Have purchased an Eheim compact 600 for my iq5 aready.
  19. Ic, not very nice to review about the LFS as they are also running a business. I can pm u tho if u really want to know. Anyway, i just changed water (40%) and im still getting the same result. What else can i do to remove all the nitrate and how to get the KH or GH and also my akaline (60ppm) level up? I suppose my tank's running on salt water? lol.
  20. Thanks for the prompt reply Terry. So i guess the only way is to still change water weekly? no other options? As for the proper cycling. I wasn't told and am not aware of it. So what i did was purchase the IQ5, Place 3 corals and 3 live rocks. Next day, i put 1x star fish, 1x Cleaner Shrimp, 2x nemo, 1x royal gramma, in total. Im left with 3 fishes and 8 corals and 3 live rocks now and after 2 days. The star fish and cleaner shrimp died on me . Of cause i went back to the shop and the sales person intro'ed me this Kent marine phytoflex and Prime thingy. So i was told to use phytoflex daily? Prime as and when the ammonia level is high? i have the tester kit which is placed in the tank for good. Just changed 50% of my water today, Ammonia level looks safe at 0.02pm. Did another 5 in 1 AQI ph ,KH,GH,no2,no3 Test and from what i see, my ph level is at 8.2, GH 180, KH 60, No2 and no3 looks fine. Im wondering what's ideal for my KH and GH level to be? Thanks.
