  4. I hv an Asfur Angel - about 4". Believe it's from the Red Sea. Beautiful creature. My camera does not do justice to this marvelous fish. Bought for $65. Selling at $65. Fish in beautiful condition and eats anything. Friendly and does not fight with any of my other fishes (Tangs, pigmy angels, blennies n clowns). Selling becos it's not entirely reef safe. It has not disturbed my clam or SPS.....at least, I hv not seen it doing that....yet Genuine buyer (ONLY) pls PM. Arrangement is "see, pay, collect on 14 Mar".
  5. It's depressing to hear bro reefers selling becos of a bad turn of events. Hope things get better for u guys. Upz for sales.
  6. Hi, I m changing my current 3x1.5x1x5 with sump soon. It's up for sales at cheap price if interested, let me hv your offer. Thks.
  7. Hi, I m also looking to upgrade to a 4x2x2 (or 2.5). I went to Arofanatics.com and there are quite abit of info there on tanks and makers. Lots of pics 2. U may wish to check it out.
  8. I think what bro ...626 is advising is that u don't use either coral chips or bioballs as both tend to collect dentritus (?) and overtime leads to built up of NO3. However, if u want to hv either.....then coral chips are usually submerged underwater while bioballs are kept above the main water-line and water runs off the top and over them (ie trickle-style filtration). U could surf the web and check out some interesting sump designs. Personally, I would reserve a segment of the sump to be used as DSB - where u can hv macroaglae, pods growing while dealing with nitrate reduction via DSB at the sametime. Hope this helps.
  9. Hi all. Good. Salivateforme has volunteered to incorporate the data into his webpage; then there is no need for me to compile the data here for this thread that I started. Pls carry on. Thanks bro Salivateforme
  10. Very detailed and helpful information. I will put all the inputs together and re-compile the list if there are more substantial contributions from fellow reefers here.
  11. This is better than the Great Robinson Sales ! Upz
  12. for the advice. Will bear that in mind when I go for a bigger tank. Truth is this thread was intended to become a info resource for interested reefers on tank makers.......but seems like not much interest leh.
  13. Hmmmmm.....the timing of your post could not hv come at a better time. Great website, bro. Consider this website to be a permanent link somewhere on this forum?
  14. Yes bro, y not. Everyone just chip in abit and I believe this could be 'one-stop', useful source of information on local LFS as well as tank makers for all reefers. We kn the info is here but it is just not collated. The website u created on LFS is a wonderful resource page - simple but informative. I did not even know that it existed. Thanks for sharing. Suggestion : Why not hv it as a hyperlink on this forum.........perhaps, mod can consider hehehe. Seriously, I hv been to the members' tank section and some of the bros here hv tanks that I would die for.......very inspirational. Obviously, lots of time, efforts and $$$ must hv gone into their projects. If the bros could pleaseessss spare a moment and contribute info on the tank makers, it would be most beneficial......
  15. Hi all, May I suggest we start A LIST OF ALL LOCAL TANK MAKERS. I hv searched this forum and information on tank makers are available BUT it's not gathered together in a list (at least, not that I hv seen [i stand corrected] - if there is such a list here, I would be grateful if any bros here can point me to that link). A list of all local tank makers (those known ones) would be a useful reference for newbies or those who want to upgrade their tanks' sizes. I am sure the bros here hv much experience to share and are familiar with many local tank makers. To make the list more meaningful, we could include information about which members' tank (as far as u know) were made by these tank makers. This would allow us to cross-reference the tank maker with the members' tank section to get pictures of the tanks and details of the tank maker's work quality. So anyone like to start......pleaseeeesss: S/N TANK MAKER/CONTACT NUMBER MEMBERS' TANKS MADE BY TANK MAKER 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
  16. Ya, I thot so too... before. Then I found out Peppermint wc I believe is reef-safe looks almost similar.....See pic.
  17. Since this is CNY, I m prepared to offer both lights (T5 and FL) - take both @ $220 instead of $240 Any takers?
  18. Upz...one last attempt.... anyone interested?
  19. Hi all, Hv a 3 feet - DE T5 HO twin fixture - for sale. Use for less than 3 mths. Like new. Bought at $240. Selling at $200. 20. The things to do with bidding exercises are: - Specifically describe your item to be sold - Give a pic...pic tells a thousand words - List your bid starting price - this would usually be the lowest price that u are prepared top let go your item - Inform bidders of ending date/time for bidding exercise. - Inform bidders of any other 'personal conditions' wrt your bidding exercise (in my opinion the least pesonal conditions the better, as personal conditions defeats the entire purpose of the bidding exercise ie highest bidder gets the stuff Usually, at the end of the bidding exercise (date/time denoted by seller) the seller is obligated in a gentleman manner to sell his product to the highest successful bidder. The ongoing bid prices should also be broadcasted here for transparency ie for all to see - this ensures fairness and allows all to track to process of the bid. My 2 cents worth Happy CNY to All
  21. At least now I now how to tell the diff
