From my understanding, RO will get it to very low TDS reading but not possible to be 0 u will still need DI to remove the rest, to get a 0 reading in TDS.
Hi Mengyang, thks for the reply. What's the value range I should expect?

Bro Nudibranch, any other fishes in your tank besides your 3 Queens?
-
Errr...anyone with TDS meter & RO filter system care to share? Cheers!

Hi Reefers,
Is it possible to achieve 0ppm with a Reverse Osmosis Water Filter system? If not, what's the lowest attainable readings? Thks for sharing. Cheers!

Wow, so much SPS for selection in a long tank. The hobbyist reef tank is also fantastic especially the arrangement of the live rocks

Salute..what an impressive tank. Btw, noticed there's a Queen angel..wouldn't it nip at your corals?

Hi Tang, good write up on the reef system LED lighting maker. Btw, have you make any purchase with either LEDsea or Pharosled? I'm looking for those with programmable timer funtions to simulate day & night. Thks

My main LED System - 312W LED Light set (3 x 30W 15000K Superwhite LED + 36 x 3W White + 36 x 3W Blue + 6 x 1W 403 NM Violet)
3W White LED two types:
1) 18 x 3W (pure white) - 6500K 180-200lm 3.0-3.4v 700mA
2) 18 x 3W (cool white) - 11000-12000k 180-200lm 3.4-3.8v 700mA
3W Blue LED three types:
1) 12 x 3W Blue 445-450nm 30-45lm 3.7-3.8v 700mA
2) 12 x 3W Blue 450-460nm 30-45lm 3.7-3.8v 700mA
3) 12 x 3W Blue 460-470nm 30-45lm 3.4-3.8v 700mA
6 x 1W violet LED - 400-405nm 3lm 3.0-3.8v 350mA
3 x 30W HighPower White LED - 2700-15000K 2700-3000lm 30-36v 1050mA
BTW, I am thinking of the following supplementary lights to replace my 8 x 39W T5...
8 x 3W CREE XPE Blue
8 x 3W CREE XPE Royal Blue
4 x 3W CREE XPE Red
4 X 3W CS UV
What do you think??
Wow , where did buy all the LEDs from? Thks in advance.

I personally prefer saltmix over NSW. Reason is that there're tons of microscopic organisms in NSW & you got to trust the supplier to do a thorough filtering before selling. Also, those microscopic organsims will not survive in our home aquarium & hence resulting in massive die off

Been cycling my tank for about 10 days.. Added market prawn and left them rot till super unbearable stench In addition, I've been dosing Brightwell Bacter-(acciording to bottle instructions) from the 3rd day since market prawn's addition. Took measurements with Salifert kits and found that NH4 0, NH3 0 and Nitrate 50ppm.. Bought a cleaner shrimp and a pair of australian clowns from Iwarna, place them in the tank and they have been surviving since then (about 3 days already). Does it mean my tank is fully cycled??
Pls enlightened..
Many thanks
Monitor your water parameters with your test kits. If your BBs are already mature & settle, they'll start to do its function. Cheers!

Have you consider what the octopus do when frighten? Your filter system able to handle that?
-
Better to buy an auto top up device rather than wondering when to top up water

Sea slugs are not reef safe as they feed on corals, that's where they get their toxins from.

Seriously i think shark keeping will required a very big tank as this fellow will very soon out grow the tank.
Sharks are not meant for home aquarium as they required large swimming space..do re-consider

Groupers are known to be aggressive..small fishes will end up as their meals Btw, very envy of your big big house

Hmm, doubt your tank comes with sump. If yes, will not have this problem
