Hi there,
Pse look at my topic under general reef keeping, univited guests. I caught a 3ft bristle worm. Baiting does not always bring gd results. Best way is to remove the LR out of your tank & flush it out. Confirm all out. Gd luck.
-
Hahaha. Yup. From my LR. I've been monitoring for a while & becos of gd intel, I was able to launch Ops Cleansweep to clear them. Cheers.

Hi there,
Yup, standard size. Also caught another hairy crab, but pic abit blur. Now reef tank safe liao. Hehehehe. Anyone ever caught a longer one than this? Pse share. Cheers.

Hey folks,
Just bought the UV light from eAquarist Place. Great for whitespots. Had ich on my Blue Tang for a while, & not does not go away. However, after using the UV light, everything is back to normal. Now, none of my fishes have whitespots. The services from EAP is superb. They are always there to provide good service. Make a trip there & you will know what I mean. Cheers.

Hey guys, Finally removed the "guests". Only thing was I need to remove all corals & LR from the tank. Those DIY traps just don't work. Thought it is interesting to report that the bristle worm is 3ft long. The hairy crab is abt 5cm. What a relief. Thanks for all the advise given by the reefers. Cheers.

Hi guys,
Does 6 line eat up hairy crab, as I have 1 in my tank, abt 2cm. How huh? I also have a mantis shrimp. Any suggestions?
-
Wah sounds good. Thought of getting 1.
-
Hi guys,
my blue tang also infected with ich. now spreading to my flame. yellow tang & clown fishes. Though on kent marine treatment, it comes & go. WOndering whether corallife turbo twister will do the job. I was recommended the 9 watts model, at abt $150. Any suggestins? Thanks.

Hey bro,
You may want to consider getting a orange dashed or tiger goby. Both are gd at clearing your sand bed. My orange dashed goby is like a Thai worker, very on the ball. Cleaning the whole day. Sand bed looks like day 1. Very clean. Good luck.
-
Managed to take a peek at the"worm" in the early morning & found out that it is a mantis shrimp. How to get it of it? Pse help. Thanks.
-
Hi there,
You may want to try Kent Marine treatment. Made of pepper & effective for ich. Reef safe. Have used it many times for my reef tank with clams, except that not suitable for sea cucumber. Cheers.

Hi KIM,
I agree with Patrick. U sld trust the temp on the chiller. My temp also reads like that. I always double check by feeling the water in the tank. It is usu. cool to touch, as compared to the eternal env. Thermometers are never 100% accurate. Cheers.

Hi guys,
what to do if its a mantis shrimp? I posted an issue ealier. Saw a hairy crab (abt 5cm) & a ? bristle worm or mantis shrimp, since I also hear clicking sound when lights off. What to do?
