  1. Following are my thought process in terms of making a decision in keeping a pure 100% Zoas Garden Nano Reef Tank :

    1. Key consideration is due to the limited space for a 12G Display Tank
    2. Another decision is just to keep LPS Coral
    3. LPS which small in size
    4. LPS which has many variations in terms of colors and selections
    5. LPS does not move around the tank
    6. LPS which is easy to keep as this is my 1st Reef Tank
Based on the above considerations, I have decided on a 100% Zoas Garden Tank
To my understanding, Zoas also has different level of skill in terms of keeping and will allow me to learn and progress for my journey in Zoas Keeping

    Love Zoas too!

Anyway, you meant Soft corals instead of LPS?

  2. Actually, I think customised tanks are less costly than redsea tanks, just need to get a good tank maker. I did 2 display tank (6 footer + 5 footer) and a 5 foot sump at twice ur budget only.

Although you will definitely make some decisions on the design of the setup, you have Reefers here to help.

And yes, sump over IOS. If not you will be looking to upgrade soon..

  3. Some updates on my sps dominated. Lost my Queen and anthias due to an ich outbreak. Probably a mistake when I got lazy and threw in some fishes without utilizing my QT…

Oh well, added a new batch of anthias after proper QT and a week has past and so far no casualties!

    A video update for all!

Anyway, also got a new toy recently! Spot it in the photo below. So far aesthetic, installation and calibration has been tok gong!

Will monitor and do a simple review here soon!

  4. Cutting off the Post or not, up to individual. But most do not snip off the plug as given time, the Zoas will cover the surface and given good placements, you will have many “bouquets” of zoas on your scape.

  8. First, I think it is not quite possible for it to be this low. May wanna check ur test kits.

There are many other interesting methods to raise ph but, the easiest way to raise ph is to make sure good circulation of air in the room, so that the built up of CO2, which causes ph to drop, is removed from the water.

  9. Ph seems a bit low.

The rest of e three seems normal and signals that the cycling process has started. Tank should be ready for livestocks when ammonia n nitrites hit zero.

Remember to do a big water change at e end of cycle.

    Welcome to e hobby!
