If I'm you I will just continue with the regular dosing of whatever u are already doing. I will reduce carbon dosing. Feed the fishes a little more for them to generate po4.

Yea sherman.. thats what im doing. Thanks bro
Usually depending on just skimmer alone won't be of much help as its can only remove so much.
Probiotics(bacterial) means are usually more popular. There are a couple of brands that's readily available in our lfs. Just make sure u read each of their instruction careful to adopt one that may suits your reefing style best

Hi guys, my rainbow monti seems to be melting quite badly. how do I save it? I did a wc yesterday when my No3 was at 12 ppm. I also just readjusted the flow which was directed at it, now I put it to flow above it. Anything else I can do?
Sofishticated Friend
Wc with no3 at 12ppm would do this much damage. I would frag away the damaged part and repositioning the good one on a mid flow area. Maybe worth while to also check your parameters

Bro While getting cleaner crews help the root cause has to be solved which is your nutrient. If this is not solve the worst is yet to come. Maybe good to search on some nutrient export methods and invest in one that may suit you

What bro pcw mention is correct. Redfield ratio. Since u do not have sufficient po4 for bacterials to use I would suggest u remove your po4 removal. Alternatively u can consider adding no3 removal to help speed up the process. Personally I would suggest u remove po4 removal for the time being.

Very effective if u are using against ich. Have to take note that u may need to overdose depending on how bad the infection is. Also never dose medic directly into your tank. Once u start dosing, follow thru the dosing regime of twice daily for a min of 20days. Try to avoid stoping half way even if did not see the ich.

Yes most likely is due to the sudden swung of your parameters. If it continue to spread, better to trim off the top part.

Would a sudden drop in po4 cause this? In this case from normally 0.07 to max undetectable by test kit?

This is what some call "burn tip" usually causes by kh swing or change of LED light setting to stronger or if u have move your corals from lower light area to high light area
