what do u use for carbon dosing? i just had my tank crashed when i added more biopellets the whole tank went cloudy and almost all my sps dead.

tap water yes but ran thru carbon and di resin. no bullies as i only have a pair. anyways my nemo is alrwady dead. the other one is still enjoying its life with my green bubble tip alone

for a coral only tank...just sps corals for e.g....wud just putting a skimmer be sufficient without any other sort of filtration methods?

This is the existing tank Very empty nv stock up as wanna redo it to a bigger width and dun like the overflow design in the center which is facing my main door. Now at the stage of designing the sump for the new tank whether wanna put both reactor n FR in and with/without refugium. Headache. just fyi this is wat i did for my crocea clam from jalan selaseh. i bought the epoxy putty and create a plate like mould. let it harden under water then place my clam on top of it. looks like a happy clam to me. mine is a golden rim clam....

l read what he wrote on advanced aquarist before. i think that article stated the amount of gunk removed from protein skimmer is not as much as using carbon filtration but i think protein skimmer is still king for filtration.

same here. bought mine from henry for aiptasia control initially but he advised its a hit or miss with copperband butterfly fish. but it did feeds on mysis whenever i feed to the rest of the fishes. but somehow i think its not enuf one day just saw it dead on the tank bottom. will never buy a copperband butterfly again eventhough its one of the prettiest fish i have ever bought

can use both dead rock and dead sand too but need to seed the tank with some live rock...but will take a longer time to cycle i think
