Hi guys,
During the fallow period when there is no fish (no bio load at all), is there a need to throw in some dead prawn/fish food to keep the BB alive?
-
If you know your fish list well, you can let the shy and slow eaters to go in first. Let them get used to the feeding habits and hiding grounds.
Small fishes can be aggressive too such as damsels and Chromis. My 2 inch queens angel is bullying my 6 inch soldier fish in the qt!
Certain species have very low tolerance to others of the same type, even if they have the same size. For example, if u want to have multiple tangs if the tank is small, add all of them together if possible. It will divide out the aggression.
Just my humble opinion

Hi guys,
Which brand of vinegar you use for carbon dosing?
Currently using 5% Heinz Distilled Vinegar. Just wonder if there are cheaper 5% vinegar out there without additive.

Hi,
Have any of you vent your fish for swim bladder issue? Basically is using a syringe to puncture the swim bladder to release the built up gases.
-
Mine is on the air con ledge and then conceal all the trunking. But long piping will drop the efficiency of the compressor.
