  4. please accept my apologies .... i read 150 l/hr as 1,500 l/hr. sorry about that.
  5. try Atman model 103 which is 1300 l/hr. cost only $8 from Darwin Aquarium at Bedok Avenue 4.
  6. thanks for info on the parameters of the various Kelvins. beachboy, where did you buy your mh ? (name and address pls).
  7. resun chiller CL280 should be good for your 2 ft tank. i am using CL450 for my 3 ft tank, and is serving me (my fishes and corals) well.
  8. i am looking for MH now. who has? please pm or go to http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...topic=17522&hl= and reply to me. thanks.
  9. lightningstrike, thanks for your recommendation. for the benefit of those who may be reading this, the height of my tank is 24 inches, and a width of 18 inches. that being the case, light penetration would be deeper and i tend to agree with bro lightningstrike that MH appears to be the better choice.
  10. besides the eight fishes, it is my intention to keep corals. i know there are many different types of coral, soft and hard, and generally they will thrive well with good lighting. hence my request for recommendations and desire to upgrade present lightings.
  11. My tank 36 x 24 x 18 inch. Presently using Coral Sun 10000K FL and another actinic blue tube. Want to upgrade the present lighting. Can someone help to recommend what kind I should use. Also, is there anyone selling. Thank you.
  12. senget, you better ask the mods to change the title of your topic before you get a tick tock. titles must be more descriptive. example: experiencing high temp in 2ft tank - what to do ?
  13. whaaaa siput !!! somewhere i read you luv to confuse ppl ... you using G0 and then on top of that you use crushed coral which is finer than G0. then must be G-1 ???? blur already
  14. similar experience. see my post on same topic: http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...topic=17215&hl= given up my nudibranch for adoption.
  15. Yeah, it came attached with the sponge when bought. If it is so destructive, why and where to keep so that it is not causing harm to other LS ? If to keep, what to feed ?
  16. Oops, so sorri. Never realise that pic is so large. My thousand apologies.
  17. Bought a blue sponge some one month ago. Only at a later time did I notice the white thing, looks like a slug to me, that is attached to the underside of the sponge. It has since grew much bigger, to about two cm now. But what is sad to note is that the sponge appears to be eaten away. See attached pic. Please help to ID the white thingy, is it harmful ? and what should I do ? Thank you.
  18. Please help ID this white slug. Thanks. My blue sponge appears to be eaten up.
  19. Bro kschew, wat is make & model of yr skimmer? Also price range. Seeing the gunk gives comfort that it's working well.
  20. Okay, everybody learns from their own mistake, be it innocent or otherwise. In this case Bro eDen bought a batch of clown fishes. This is not meant to criticize the person as it is not fair to "punish" twice for the same mistake. But what is really sad to know and perhaps should take part or most of the blame is the LFS who sold the fishes. Any responsible and reasonable thinking LFS, especially with the intent to retain their customers, should advise or ask "Why buy so many fishes at one single time?" Especially the LFS in this business should reasonably assume the customer is not buying for distribution to his friends, but meant to be introduced into the same tank is going to cause a surge in the bioload. Reefers in hobby and LFS in business are partners, and each should learn to scratch each other's back. Otherwise how to earn each other's trust and sustain a good relationship ? My two cents worth ... IMHO
  21. Are you using a chiller ? If negative, you may be cooking your livestock slowly. What is the tank temperature ?
  22. my yellow tang eats anything from day one ... brine shrimp or mysis ... but not the "phang chai" which I clip on everyday. my three blue tangs don't even go near the "phang chai" and are choosy over the brine shrimp or mysis.
