  4. Return pump failed?

Quickly get a new exact return pump if possible. This way no need to change piping or anything la.

Or post if anyone have the same pump.

main pump glued to pvc pipe in sump tank. this was done by the shop who set up tank for me some three or four years ago. i just don't know how to replace. the whole fitting is just a perfect fit and i just cannot move the pump out. if i use any force, it will be disaster for sure.

  5. For time being...uses fan to blow direct on it till your chiller repaired lor :eyebrow: !

Btw, There will be no problem for fishes w/o chiller...as long temperature dun hit 30 degree la But not for corals hor  !

Thanks. Appears chiller may be working as it took a while for it to reset. However the problem is the failure of the main return pump. No water can be pumped from the sump tank up to the main tank.

  6. while in process of changing water, noted that chiller and main return pump not working when switched back on.

tested power supply on the same socket with other equipment to make sure there is power supply.

help help  i think all fishes will be dying soon by tomorrow morning

  8. First, I may get flamed for killing a good hobby, but I am still sticking to an aqua hobby. Others may criticize me for attempting to use this forum. Anyhow ....

Going by my calculation, the current chiller (second set) may fail in the not too long future. Do not intend to invest in another chiller. Therefore thinking of converting my 3 feet marine main tank (with a sump tank below) to a fresh water tank.

Any advice on how to do the conversion , tips and traps, comments and suggestions are welcome. :thanks:

  10. get 2 620s if you are not very adventurous. if you are, you will find 2 820s placed on either side of the tank better, both pointing to the middle of the tank. this way current flow is maximised.

    wow !! 2 x 820s for a two footer ?

don't you think it will be an overkill and cause a sand storm ?

besides, the equipment will take quite a lot of space.

    imho

  11. I got my dottyback & damn sels into the bare land of sump. There they serve their remaining mths, days or ......

wow, this is like solitary confinement ..... so cruel :P

in the past, i have used a fish trap and give the fella away.

  12. what is the purpose of you wanting more speed ?

at the end of the day, if you are serious about bowling, it is the final score that counts.

ask any good bowler, it is consistency that really matters.

it is not about strikes (at least not now), but spares that can bring you up to a higher average.

personally, i bowl with a relatively good speed of the ball. i believe the trick to it is to have the right momentum. i have a high back swing, but i don't think that contributes much to the speed. it is the momentum that does the works.

another tip, adjust to the lane condition fast and concentrate on EVERY ball.

    enjoy, my friend.
