  1. Agreed. Hermit crabs in particular will help with scavenging. But once there is lack of food source or they had a taste of something better, than they may choose to go for corals. It's not surprising, as with any other scavengers.... Personally, I don't keep hermits in my tank as I prefer using snails over hermits. My shrimps are actually the ones that assist with the clean up of left over stuff on the sandbed. I don't feed my shrimps, so they do a good job scavenging.

thanks bro. in fact, at the moment, i hv 3 turbo snails and 3 doc shrimp.. think i need to add more snails. not enuff for my 4x2x2 tank

  2. I share your thoughts about the shallow tank having just 10" of viewing space after sand is added. Facing the same regret with my own tank but I think I shall live with it for now :)

Your new scape looks good but wouldn't leave a lot of good spots for sps if u intend to go that way in future. Also got to make sure the rocks on top are tightly fitted to the ones below. Else any addition of big fishes might cause the rocks to topple.

    Thanks bro for the tips.

  3. Hi,

Giving away deltec MCE600. Hv some issue with the skimmer pump which I cant solve.

All parts of the pump seems ok.

So decided to give it away. It will be your lucky day, if the pump suddenly works fine again.
