  1. Its a good idea. I will break into half and glue on the rock.

Bro like this might as well glue the frag direct to the rock. Lol but once done cannot undo liao

  2. Thanks bro :) Yah, finally have time to update my tank thread. I am looking forward to your tank thread too. Or you already have one? :D

Yes bro, Admiraltian is right. There is instructions with the bottle and you should follow it strictly for your dosage of the dip because some corals might be too sensitive and overdosing will kill it. We cant tell you exactly how much to use because the volume of water you use might be different, but for the duration, I usually go all the way to 15 mins to be sure, shake the coral every 5 mins and turkey blast it during the whole duration. Aim your turkey blaster at every hole you can see visually because thats where most of the pests will hide.

Thanks for the info.. Really very detail.
  3. Thinking of using ceramic ring as frag plug since they are both ceramics?

1nos of zoas can fit just nicely in the ceramic ring hole.

    Like this dun need glue..

    Can be done?

  4. Coral rx is a dip for corals to get rid of the pests on them. May not work that well for big liverocks because the live rocks may have too many holes and holes may be quite deep in.. I wouldnt use it for liverocks at the end of the day..

For instance, i wanna dip my zoas and star polyp, how to long should i dip them?

  5. Hi Davian. There is no average that I know of.

For example, my Sunkist frag took 5 months to grow 1 new polyp, on the other hand the Purple Death has grown 5 polyps and Lollipop has grown 12!

Growth rate also depends on your tank parameters. so you might find you have a different growth rate altogether.

    Thanks bro. U frag urself?

  6. Maybe u can look into full spectrum par38 .. White .. blue .. green .. uv .. pink/red

I doubt LED strips are powerful enough as most come in 1w per bulb .. and u can't have a mix of colors in 1 strip.

I almost bought a par but way to big, the par with stand is bigger than my 10L tank.

I thinking of having 4strip approx 40led for my 10L. Enough?

  7. alright. dont touch it already but keep a lookout on it. once it starts floating about or it starts shrinking for a whole day or two, you have to pull it out before it gets into your wavemaker and you get anemone juice.

Can i pluck it out to put in a isolation tank to ICU it. I go get a internal hang on isolation cube thingy?

  8. Wat do u intend to keep in ur pico tank? Corals or fish only?

    Sorry bro forgot to mention.

My set up is as below:

    10L Fluval Spec 3

    1.5kg Liverock

    2palm size Zoas

    1palm size Star Polyp

    1palm size anemone after inflated

    2clownfish.

    1doc shrimp

    I thinking to get spa frag maybe 2-3" a 2nos to 3nos

  9. Thinking of doing a LED for my pico tank. Most of the commercial type are quite ugly with ugly clips.

Idea is to mount LED strip on a thin plate of aluminum and thats all.

Hoping to get some simple LED strip from simlim.

What kind of LED to get? The higher walts the better? Mixing blue and pink and white LED, what specific color to get for the white, i know there is cool, warm, etc

    Any advise bros?

  10. Its bleaching. Take a small piece of prawn and use chopstick to see a feeding response. If never respond, on the way to up lorry.

I tried feed it frozen scallop. No movement. It become small sour plum. Like very small size liao since i came home
