Hi Xiggie, may i know what are the cons on low flow rate?

I just set up my 2ft. I calculated is around 95l. Im using compact 3000. The flow was crazy. I have to use the lowest setting. Even at lowest setting output, i got alot of bubble, splashing and noise at the first compartment of the sump coming from the drain pipe. Now still looking for solution to reduce the bubble and splashing. The return pump was recommend by the tank maker. Wondering why the need to use up to 3000l/h.

Nothing in there, only water. The filter floss is in the 2nd compartment.I hv tried to cut down the pipe to let it submerge into the water less than a inch and also place the floss under the pipe still no use.

Ya , I think its overkill. Should add in the LS slowly.

I encountered this before during the cycle. No worry. At that time I just wait and do partial water change. Eventually the bubble will gone. It take sometime.

Im using tap water for my 3gal tank. So far ok. Coraline algae on my rocks.

Right now im using the compact 300 for my 3gal tank. I can say is silent.Hopefully same goes to the 3000.

Its a good idea. I will break into half and glue on the rock.

I just bought the compact 3000. But not yet use. Goin to use it for my new 2ft tank coming on mon.

Im curious too abt the vinegar wash. I just wash under the tap.

I only clean up the impeller itself and the area where it sit in.

Whats your pump model?

Maybe you want to add rubber stud at the base.
