Wow how u go from no corals to suddenly a zoa colony garden. Great job man! Looking really good! Did you rescape?

Finally got a proper and fast Macro lens to take pictures of me fast swimming fishies!
My Six line wrasse been very hardworking at eating all the unwanted pest on my live rock.
Selfie Time!!!
My Mandarin Dragonet playing a little Peekaboo.
My Snowflake. A real survivor. Been with me since 3 tanks ago.
So my snowflake's been solo for almost 2 years now. She's a real bitch. She killed her partner ages ago. Now I'm determined to pair her with another clown. Since she's been solo for so long, I reckon she's turned female and won't be changing her sex no more so I'll have to pick a smaller size male to pair her with. So I got 2 Juvenile clowns to see which one she would pair with. I'll eventually have to take the odd one out and put him in another tank. But all 3 have been doing so well I'm real surprised! My big snowflake hasn't been bitchy and she's been swimming with the 2 babies as a pact.
I got a Wyoming White and a Flurry. I have no idea which is which. they look so similar. haha. But i think the first one is a Flurry. You experts out there please help me ID.

This build is insane man! Are you keeping the wood in this grey rustic stain? I like it.

I have since switched to CR which is even more super super convenient!! Less fluctuation of kh. I used to used food grade powder, magnesium chloride mixed with di water to replenish my mg levels.
When I upgrade to a big 100 gallon tank I will definitely go CR. Now I'll probably just dose 2 part and keep up with water change to replenish whatever gets depleted. What do you peeps in SG test your waters with? Now I'm using Red Sea test kits. But I jut purchases Salifert to try out and compare test results and take the average between the two brands as my reading.

My SPS Pillar is partially complete with lotsa frags. Can't wait for them to grow quick and outwards. Will probably have to relocate some of these guy at a later stage once they start touching. Or avoid growing into each other and create some sort of interesting shape.
A new super hot addition. A Red Spider Sponge. Heard this thing is super hard to keep. Had it for a week and its been doing pretty well. Polyps are all extending and fluffy. but the slightest touch or too much flow it shrinks and start to look leathery. Really interesting. Mine seems to like strong flow but not direct and lower light. Also needs constant feeding like 3 times a day. I'm gonna start feeding less to see how it does.

Organized!
Thank you sir! Nice Bentley.

Same, love how easy and effective esv is. Just that with my tank volume, it's tough to keep up with esv dosing, so made the switch to cr.
Oh yeah Calcium reactors are definitely the way to go for big tanks. I have no space for one. haha.
-
I've tried the ESV 2-part calcium buffer system. It works great!!
Yeah pre-made and super convenient. But costly $$$. haha. You dosing ESV Mag too?
-
Nothing much to update. Tank is going through some minor cyano outbreak. I'm doing longer lights out period to see if it goes away. Also got some SPS frags to mount on my tall pillar. And I finally got my Jebao dosing station set up!!! I've never really dose in my previous setups but i'm trying to go more SPS heavy with this tank. I'll be monitoring Alk, Cal and Mag for the coming weeks to see how much I should dose. I'll be using all ESV products. I've had good results in the past.

Wow! Love everything bro! Neat setup. Loving the artistic shots and especially the shrine! Haha! Merry Christmas!!!
haha thanks bro.
Ha.. Nice video & accompanying music
Real sexy time that clown.
Nice and clean
Thanks!
A beautiful tank indeed. I lyk how the one kessil is sufficient enough to provide for the corals and at the same time give such beauty to the tank.
N kudos to ur scape.
Camping here to see the progress.
Happy Reefing
Thanks man! The Kessil is awesome. Really enjoying the output.
Bro jaywee, your tank looks so clean. :-)
Thanks bro!
unique way of scaping bro! cant wait to see them grow and start merging together.
It's gonna take awhile but yeah I can't to see how things grow out. Thanks!

My snowflake will make love to anything. It went from the hammer to the toadstool and now the wellso.
-
Not mine. I can find similar ones thou.
These are mine. ..
Damn that's a nice pair dude! Sick! Those black Ice?
-
Nice setup! Love your figurine. Hahaha, it adds a unique touch to your tank. And the way you place your corals - acans worshipping the birdnest shrine? This is so funny and interesting. Is it going to be a permanent placement?
Thanks buddy! The intent is to possibly keep adding Acans around and surrounding the little Ponape birdnest island. Hopping the Ponape will grow more upwards so as not to shade the acans too much haha. But the Ponape will always be king.

Nice. Well organise!
Thanks man! Damn that clown you have as your profile pic looks awesome. That yours?

FTS 12.24.14 Front
A little unorganized now but I'll be moving things around depending on the growth rate of the corals. Had to get rid of a lot of big colonies I had and just kept mostly frags to populate this tank. I real want to see it grow out especially the strip of Zoa Island in the front. The right tall pillar will eventually be stocked with pointy SPS and it'll look like a Spike Club. Real gansta.

Close up of some of my better pieces. This Wellso swells up like a giant beef cake.
My fav Rastas
My 2nd Fav Pink Zippers
My little Ponape Birdsnest Shrine being worshipped by Acans.
I love Ultra neon lime green and orange rhodactis. Really slow grower though.
This is a newly acquired piece. Aussie Gold Torch. I like how thick it looks compared to the regular torches.
War Coral.

nice set-up there
Thanks buddy!

Is one kessil light enough?
More than enough for my tank. And I'm only at 50%-60% intensity. Any higher my corals will get cranky.
-
Damn the Kessil shimmer is out of this world. And Mr. Scuba Da Boss Man is loving the waves.
-
Oh smack!!! Bluefish Controller arrived.! My Kessil gonna make some love tonight!!! Woohoo

I guess it really depends on what u gonna put in your refugium but my tanks is only 32 gallon so it's more than enough for me. I'm not putting sand. I'm just gonna have live rock rubble, chaeto and some mangrove. What's your tank size?Would a fuge of that size be sufficient ? am just wondering cos am planning on mine and am not sure if its too small. Thanks -
love the diver.
Quick question, how big is ur refugium?
Thanks man. The fuge compartment is within the sump. I think its probably 3-4 gallon. Measurements approx 5" X 15".
-
Looking at the design of the sump, the flow leading to the return pump will be a downward flow. This will cause bubbles in the main tank as the bubbles will be sucked into the return pump.
Angel Keeper
Good observation. I haven't flood it so once I do I'll keep a look out. I do have baffles between the fuge to the return section. Hoping that will minimize on any micro bubbles. I might do the Sponge between the baffles too to trap 'em.
