There's no actinic or blue tube for Osram T5. Only 'White' avail. Its a little yellowish IMO. Can pm me if you need the tubes.

tried garlic n octozine to cure my fish from ich..
1st outbreak detected 2weeks ago...this week for the past 3days i lost 95% of my fish....
fish that been with me for nearly 1.5years totally wipe out....
1.flame angel
2.bicolor blenny
3.flame clown
4.purple tang
5.coral beauty
6.blue devil damsels.
all this thanks to the purple tang.....

It's normal cause its dead. That's how corals grow they deposit calcium carbonate skeletons over the old skeleton and grow upwards, abandoning the old skeleton below. If you were to hack off the old skeleton, the coral will still survive as it does not depend on the old skeleton anymore.
er..its not dead..hehe..maybe tonite i will take the entire picture...rushing to work this morning tat why using HP camera..will post entire pic of the coral..

Instead of blaming on the t5 tubes...have your thought about what ballast you are firing up the t5 tubes with?
never blame the t5..
using elbiru eballast -

use aquaz actinic died after 8 months of usage....hours around 10~12hours a day

im trying to DIY a beckett skimmer. most of the parts already been done.but im not sure how tall should i put the riser tube.
my reaction chamber is 5~4" and the riser tube is 2"
the height of my skimmer is 24" and i plan to use a rio 20hf to power this skimmer out.
i hope someone can help me...thanx
